Sounds like you are assuming that the roads will be clear of all traffic, emergency vehicles, etc. Not a good assumption... What if 1,000 others think like you do and all hit the road at the same time?

Actually I mentioned traffic. You must have missed that. Look I’ve had this same argument with different folks about different things. I teach my children and grandchildren to act based on their knowledge of the situation and their abilities to either move or take cover. Huddling in a classroom with a nut armed to the teeth and intent on murdering innocents is not a good strategy. Neither is sitting in the easy chair in your trailer while a monster tornado tracks down on you when the pickup can still do 50. Like I said life is about choices and sometimes we make the wrong ones. I know I have. At any rate my prayers are with these good folks and my money will be as well when they establish a fund. Adios.
Survival is obviously a numbers game, but with this much warning couldn’t they have tried to go West like last night when the risk would have been lower, or at least further into the center of the city ?
