Have these people ever actually seen a homosexual? There’s nothing masculine about them.

Having spent a decade living in Greenwich Village, I can assure you that just as there are very masculine and very feminine lesbians, there are many gay men who do not look the stereotypical part. Would you call John Travolta feminine looking (prior to all the plastic surgery that is)?

I would. Going all the way back to "Welcome Back, Kotter", he had that fleshy-faced look, with full red lips. Not at all my idea of masculine.
