Kaitlyn Hunt, 18, had her entire life before her. Graduation. College. Job prospects. The high school senior was just preparing to start her life when she found herself expelled and slapped with criminal charges over her engagement in a same-sex relationship. And what started as a relationship between two young women has snowballed into a legal battle that could land Hunt in prison.
The story has many twists, turns and oddities. And so far, only one side — that of Hunt family — is being told. The high school senior apparently met her girlfriend, who is now 15-years-old, on the school basketball team at Sebastian River High School in Sebastian, Florida; the two began dating at the beginning of the school year.

Apparently, the parents of the fifteen year old have still not convinced her to speak against the other girl.
She willingly participated in a lesbian relationship. And now her parents have made sure that the whole world knows what she did - her church members will condemn her, and the LGBTXYZ crowd will pursue her.
What a way to announce their daughter’s sin. They lost her the day the contacted law enforcement. This girl is going to have to be made of angelic stuff to forgive them and put this behind her, AND lead a morally straight life.
You are the one misrepresenting God as a supporter of homosexual child molestation. You don’t have to continue along that same path. God sent His Son to give each and every one of us the chance at salvation. You only have to choose it. On Judgement Day, I won’t be standing in your shoes. All your hateful rhetoric aimed at God’s followers will do you no good. You will have to stand there on your own, and face the consequences of your own choices. And I won’t be the one trying to explain to God that young women should be allowed to sexually molest teenage girls, and the child’s parents are wrong for trying to protect the child entrusted to them by God.

A 15 year old wouldn't be a child according to the law and customs and culture that Jesus was familiar with.

I might as well weigh in here. Two things: Age of consent laws exist for a reason, a very good reason. What is that reason? To protect children from being sexually exploited by those older than them. It's realy simple. Note that the younger girl is "now 15", so the older mentally ill sex pervert started molesting her when she was only 14. So what is the age when it is not okay to seduce/molest children? 12? 13? Of course, in previous generations often couples married young, so there are many women who married in their early teens - many grandparents of people on FR, or their parents, were married young. BUT - there is a world (or perhaps several universes) of difference between a couple marrying young and a mentally ill sex pervert seducing a younger girl, or any person taking advantage of a younger child sexually.
The homosexual aspect of it only makes it more disgusting. And it is also noteworthy that most homosexuals are introduced to the practice of same sex sodomy while very young. Oh, and one more point. People often make comments about when they were in high school all the boys and girls were having sex like dogs and bitches in heat so it's natural and normal and so many of them would be in jail so such laws are bad. Well, I've got news for such people. It's only since the progressive/communist influence of trying to destroy all morality and influence of religion that young people engaged in illicit sex wholesale. Or were encouragd to. Previously, young people were expected to save sex for marriage, and guess what! Most of them did. Sorry, but that's the truth.

No, I’m for an absolute age difference as in 4 years (4 X 365 days) or 3 years (3 X 365 days) - not just a cutoff once one hits a birthday. I think laws that make Romeo and Juliet romances legal one day and illegal the next are stupid. Some states write their Romeo and Juliet laws to reflect reality.
By the way, most age of consent laws are not stupidly written.
It’s is illegal to drink before you turn a certain age. It is illegal to drive before a certain age. Etc.
But some Romeo and Juliet laws are written so that it is legal to have sex with Juliet one day, but not the next.
