Via NROs Andrew Johnson, Joe Scarborough isnt the only TV show host rethinking his scorn of gun-rights advocates this week. Piers Morgan, who engaged in some of the worst demagoguery outside of the White House and Capitol Hill over the last six months on that issue, routinely derided the idea that the American government couldnt be trusted to abide by the law and tell the truth. Now, after watching what happened at the IRS and to the Associated Press the CNN host admits to Penn Jillette that maybe people had a point about creeping tyranny after all:
(VIDEO-AT-LINK)
Ive had some of the pro-gun lobbyists on here, saying to me, Well, the reason we need to be armed is because of tyranny from our own government, and Ive always laughed at them, Morgan said last night. But, actually, this is vaguely tyrannical behavior by the American government.
Guest Penn Jillette agreed with his assessment: I think that it shows you that how much we can trust the government and just sit back, which is not very much at all.
Vaguely?
Id guess that these scandals have put an end to any notion of reviving gun control in this session of Congress.....

..hey Piers, your a moron and always will be
Deport his arse.
Is there no end to his stupidity? And he gets paid for it!
Vaguely? Yuh think that is the minimum term you deem apropo, at the margins of your conceit and thoughts on what government ought to be able to do and what The American Citizen can demand an end to?
Piers wins yet another “NO SHIT’ award....
America is based on the concept of mistrust of government.
When you take away mistrust of government, you take away what it means to be American.
Someone in the Marines needs to quickly bring a coat for Obama because hell has frozen over.
In a drawer full of plastic sporks Piers is the one with the handle broken off.
It does’t redeem him completely, but I appreciate that he said it publicly. Now just let the Americans handle this, Pierce.
Yes, but if even that neo-Redcoat, lefty clown can start to see why we need guns to prevent tyranny, I think the IRS and A/P scandals are really waking people up and making them rethink Big Government and guns.
Perhpas “rethink” is the wrong term as most have probably not really thought analytically or critically about guns before. At any rate, anyone who starts to think logically about gun rights, will eventually support them, unless they LIKE tyranny.
Looks like Piers Morgan was really born just yesterday.
Deport any of those foreigners that talk like they have a mouth full of cat feces.
Not being a citizen of the USA I feel he should have no say pro or con! This is not his Country! go home to Briton and clean your own closet! I would not have a prob with him having an interview with any citizen, But to weigh in with an opinion
is TABOO! Otherwise , words of Darr!
LOL!
Hey! Isn’t he Sherlock’s compatriot?
