Thank you! When I was in grade school and this was on the radio, “The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down” really made me think about the Civil War and how it was for ordinary people.
(I lived in CA, nowhere near the where the war was fought).
And when I finally saw Joan Baez in concert years later, her voice was still as expressive, and easily took command of the whole stadium.
