‘I’m not good at math’: The IRS’ public relations disaster

About a half-hour into a conference call with reporters Friday afternoon, senior Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner said something she will regret.

“I’m not good at math,” she confessed as she tried to summon a statistic.

It is incumbent on you to figure out their convoluted calculations, under penalty of confiscation.

How do we know that McConnell and/or Boehner didn’t instigate the IRS to go after Tea Party groups. They hate them as much or more as the administration.

Initially, they suggested that other non-conservative-sounding names might have been targeted. By the end of the call, though, Lerner acknowledged: “I only said that because I never like to say ‘absolutely not.’ I don’t have any information on that.”

Bunch of typical liberal liars. They were targeting ONE political group - and didn't think there was bias? Time to ask the FBI similar questions...

IRS is being uncharacteristically straight forward. Makes me suspicious that there may be more to the story of where the order to target conservatives came from.

I’m not going to get all worked up over this. She’s the communications person. She’s not checking people’s taxes or have anything to do with them. Sure, it was stupid but so what. Our communications person doesn’t know crap about numbers. That why I handle talking with investors and analysts.

This stinks of Southern Poverty Law Center ...

Same stuff the FBI was fed years ago about the 'vast right wing conspiracy' - and it's the reason CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS jump to the conclusion EVERY TIME there's a terrorist act - that it's 'got to be' a white middle class conservative. Never is.... In the last 30 years the terrorists are always Radical Muslims or homegrown democrats who have gone off the rails.

Then the next time - and the press goes right back to assuming the person's conservative - until proven otherwise.

Switch it - Think of a world where every time there's a horror, a gay group is suspected - each time by the press ... and each time they're WRONG. Do you think some in the MSM would look into THAT? You can bet your last dollar they would...

It's time for the Washington Post to pretend Bush had done this to their beloved democrats - possibly set the IRS on them ... May the reporters at the Washington Post reach down and discover they have a pair...and investigate this with the same passion they would if it had happened to them... and theirs.
