Jewish Scouting leaders are taking a vocal role in efforts to pass a historic resolution that would partially lift a ban on gays in the Boy Scouts of America.
In a meeting of the National Jewish Committee on Scouting in February, members voted overwhelmingly in favor of a resolution lifting the BSAs longstanding ban on gay members. The resolution would not change the BSAs ban on gay adult leaders.
I am advocating for complete change and inclusiveness, NJCOS Chairman A.J. Kreimer told JTA this week. Im speaking with other people and as an area president, one of 26 in the country, I have advocated for fellow Scouters to do the same.
The struggle over the BSAs position on gays has divided the national youth organization at a time when public opinion has grown markedly more accepting of homosexuality.

and latino Catholics do appear to be just as leftist and activist as leftist Jews but less influential per their numbers.
Recognizing generalized truths doesn't make anyone the pejorative.
You posted a thread inflammatory about Jewish liberals and their destructive influence on the Boy Scouts and your first post was to lay bait that your main concern was this would open doors to anti semitism rather than lament the damage they are doing to the Boy Scouts.
So what was you real reason for posting the thread?
I do not think anti semitism is prevalent in America at all except amongst black liberation types.
But some Jews on Free Republic...you perhaps...wish that conservatives would never criticize Jewish leftists for being Jewish leftists but rather for just being leftists?
So do you have the same concern over the term Christian Conservative?
Jewish leftists are what they are...they want a fight obviously..if one can't call them what they are how will we ever defeat them...it's not like they are hiding under rocks
Don’t be silly.
If you want to argue with adults then don’t waste my time educating you the obvious?

With all due respect, don’t post Wikipedia as fact or unbiased.
I would say the best that this categorization does is that it acknowledges Jews as an ethnicity for those who do not recognize it already; however, the dichotomy between Jews the people and Judaism the religion is not expounded upon here. (Marx may have been a Jew by ethnicity, but he was a hardcore atheist.)

I won't argue that DNA Jews are frequently devoid of their original faith....but what you are using it sounds more like a Get Out of Jail Free card
I will say though that if conservative goyim here think Orthodox Jews like Chasids will ape their world view are very naive
Judaism in America is by and large a clique by birth or conversion which for the most part observes holy days and mitzvahs but is fairly humanist
and it shows
I have no answers to be honest..I have watched all this unfold for many years living and working in Manhattan and Miami and Ramat Gan
it just is what it is....but I'm actually secular about jews and Israel...no end times pet peoples typical Christian view of Israel for me
I just like them having lived and worked with Israelis...I no offense...far prefer them to American Jews..with exceptions of course
and I see them as surrounded by savages
we ran the world together as young men and women..they were very adventurous and bohemian
and it was fun...then we all grew up
they are now likely much less conservative than me but we didn't fight over it back then
How am I giving liberal Jews a “get out of jail free card”?
The only thing I ever took exception to was people saying “Jews” when referring to liberal Jews, which does not specify the liberals and makes all Jews look liberal. That’s like saying “Catholics” when absolutely not all Catholics are meant (and I even felt the need to defend my mother on FR, a conservative Catholic who voted straight GOP in the last election).
And that’s all. I agree with all of the rest you are saying here.
Wardaddy, I don't have a problem with Jews, blacks, or any other ethnic group. I don't even have a problem with Southerners, though y'all talk funny, and too often don't know how to drive in snow. (Do I need to add "LOL?") I do have a very big problem with liberals no matter what color or creed they may be.
To pick up on your point, actually, I **DO** wish that liberals who reject the teachings of Jesus Christ would stop calling themselves Christians.
Fortunately, liberal Protestant churches are dying and probably won't be of much relevance in a generation or two more. The Roman Catholic Church under the last two Popes has done a fairly good job of cleaning up its problem with bad bishops. I realize these things take time, but I hope a day will come that people like Pelosi and the Kennedys either stop calling themselves Roman Catholics or face formal excommunication by the Roman Catholic Church.
With regard to Judaism, yes, you've got a valid point. I do understand that Judaism is both an ethnicity and a religion. My point was that due to assimilation and intermarriage, liberal nonobservant Jews in America are becoming less and less likely to identify with Judaism. That's good for everyone.
As for traditional Roman Catholics and evangelical Protestants working with Orthodox Jews -- yeah, it's not the easiest thing in the world. But it wasn't easy to get fundamentalists and evangelicals from the Midwest and the South to get along with Irish and Italians praying the Rosary and putting images of Mary on their lawns.
I think a lot of conservative Israeli leaders have understood for many years that Jerry Falwell and a lot of other evangelical leaders had better theological reasons to get along with conservative Jewish people than they did to get along with conservative Roman Catholics, but despite that, there's been a long history of cooperation between evangelical Protestants and traditional Catholics in the fight against abortion. Evangelical Christians are reliable supporters of Israel for religious or political reasons, often both, and politically conservative Israelis understand that.
I very much hope that President Obama's anti-Israel attitudes will succeed, with time, in getting Orthodox Jews and less observant politically conservative Jews in America to make the same switch in voting patterns that traditional Roman Catholics did in the 1970s and 1980s.
“Great way for the liberal Jews to increase antisemitism, isnt it.”
This plus all the Jews in ACLU who make war on Christmas and try to stop school prayer and remove crosses. (I am Jewish) Non-Jews also are involved is such nastiness but Jews should stay the heck out of Christian religious affairs
Especially in a country that guarantees religious freedom by law as a fundamental right. If any Jew joins with the ACLU (a communist organization), he himself is a communist and certainly no religious Jew.
see my post #87.... Jews should never try to mess with this great nations Christian majority which has been so hospitable to them (my people) over the centuries. The last thing Jewish lawyers activists etc should be involved in trying to stifle Christian religious expression be it Christmas or anything
BTW my town has a Christmas display and Menorah up every December (sometimes November too) on public property. So far no screwballs have brought in the ACLU
Christianity and God made this nation great. Jews are along for the ride. Sure Jews have contributed and done great things for America but this is at core a Christian nation with much higher church attendance than in Europe.
My four Jewish grandparents fled from Russia and Poland. They got here circa 1903 and I am eternally thankful they left the old world for the new. Thankfully many in my extended family are not Obama voters
I’m a Christian and I wouldn’t put it down to Christianity per se, but faith in God. The same kind of faith displayed by the Jews resulted in the Jewish state of Israel.
Or one that they have twisted around or largely ignored.
The Torah is not to be changed in ANY way. It applies to all Jews for all time.
Jews will NEVER,EVER accept jesus as the messiah. Not now,not ever. And G-d forbid they should because doing so is a grave sin and a complete violation of G-d’s Word.
The Torah is unchangable. G-d made that very clear.
I've given a lot of thought to your comment for the past couple of days; and while I don't disagree with you, I can't agree with you, either. The reasons for that rest in the nature of G-d as explained in the gospels.
I do not wish to get into any unpleasantness with you online, since you seem very firm in your belief of impossibility; but I am willing to explain objectively why I say what I do, if you desire. It's up to you.
Meanwhile, I will say this: if there is ever a time when Jews and Christians need to make every effort to understand each other and set aside any unnecessary walls that divide us in order to learn more about each other, that time is now. We have a common enemy who has declared war on us.
Now it’ll become the Gay Jewish Mormon Scouts??

That’s 100 percent correct.
