Theyre not going to stop selling that way. And thats why cable companies sell to you that way.
Cable companies can refuse to buy that way, they just chose the easy way out and don't.
If they explained to the subscriber why they won't be adding another 25 unwanted channels and raising rates, I think the vast majority would support them.

No they can’t, because if they stop buying that way they lose the channels and the customers blame them, and go to satellite. Every time a cable provider and a network argue the end customers blame the provider when they can’t get their channels. They try explaining it to customers, and customers always say the same thing: gimme my channels.
