Former Obama National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor has let loose on Twitter this morning, mocking the Benghazi hearing today as "amateur hour."
Vietor also mocked the hearings as conspiracy theories on par with Area 51 and the moon landings conspiracy theories:
Heard that Rep. Cummings asked Rep. Issa to include Thomas Pickering, cochair of ARB report in today's hearing, but Issa refused. #Benghazi
Why on earth would Issa refuse to let the cochair of an independent review board on #Benghazi testify at his hearing on the subject?
Could it be that today's #Benghazi hearing has nothing to do with fact-finding but is just the latest shamefully politicized Issa attack
@GrahamBlog @joenbc can you explain why Issa refused to allow Tom Pickering to be a witness today? He cochaired #Benghazi review
Reporters are very excited that Rep Chaffetz will be at today's #Benghazi hearing. Maybe he'll disclose more CIA facilities! Amateur hour.
Heard @jaketapper is chasing down rumor that House Oversight Cmte ran out of chairs. Why else would Issa refuse to include Pickering today?
Hey @Milbank what do you think Rep. Chaffetz will disclose today? Moon landing photos? Map of Area 51? http://goo.gl/W7NuW
Apart from the active war zones of Iraq and Afghanistan, Libya was the most volatile country for American diplomats at the time of the attack. At best this entire debacle constitutes gross negligence on the part of the Administration.
The ‘Amateur Hour’ is in the White House & Administration.
The ‘Amateur Hour’ is in the White House & Administration.
A former National Security Council spokesman should have some decorum and be beyond politics. What a disgrace. They politicize everything.
Paul Shanklin should do a Circus Carney parody song:
“The Day the Ambassador Died”.
starts with “a long , long time ago...”
"First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win." - Mahatma Gandhi
Tommy Victor: “Oh, I got your “Amateur Hour” right HERE, pal.”
Having Pickering testify today would distract from the focus of the inquiry. The Democrats were hoping Pickering could intimidate today’s witnesses. Pickering and Admiral Mullen deserve their own hearing where they can explain the huge gaps in the whitewash report they produced. They could also explain why they shouldn’t be indicted for obstruction of justice for their part in this conspiracy.

Those men were left there to die.
Let’s face it. Conspiracies happen.
Sometimes a good conspiracy theory is the ONLY thing that fits the facts.
Somebody should tweet to this turd that Pickering and Mullen “declined” to testify, per James Rosen.
What amazes me is that there isn’t blood running in the streets of D.C. over the examples of corruption and intimidation that you listed. We watch in astonishment as the corruption continues unhindered and do nothing except rant from the keyboard.
We are NOT doomed. The masses have always been under-informed. A small minority started this country, and it will take a small DEDICATED minority to save it.
Defeatism is not helpful.
(There’s your pep talk for today.)
On the live thread the storyline is that Pickering refused to testify. If that is the case, then that was a three-tweet strawman.
The more they mock, the more they show their fear.
They have nothing to fear. We need solid proof,,,emails, fingerprints, recorded phone calls, etc. Without solid proof it’s just the testifiers word against obama and clinton. Nothing but he said, she said.
And the proof has to be so solid that not even Chris Matthews, ‘Fish Face’ Colmes, or DU’ers can deny it. Something on the order of a taped phone call of obama saying,,,”let them die, i don’t care if they die.”
Tommy Vietor: “...His first job for Obama was as the driver of a press van”.
Deep political thinker, no question...
