Throughout the night, sources say Americans on the ground in Libya at times felt helpless and abandoned.
"We relied on Washington for dispassionate assessment," one eyewitness told CBS News. "Instead, they [Washington officials] were asking us what help we needed. We answered: 'Send reinforcements!' "
But they were told immediate help wasn't available.
Embassy personnel say they repeatedly asked the Defense Attache on site in Tripoli for military assistance.
"Isn't there anything available?" one Embassy official says he asked. "But the answer was 'no.'"
"What about Aviano?" the official pressed, referencing the NATO air base with US assets in northeastern Italy. "No," was the answer.
Two of the four Americans killed that night died hours after the first attack began.

Counterterrorism sources and internal emails reviewed by CBS News express frustration that key responders were ready to deploy, but were not called upon to help in the attack.

Yes, gaijin. It was apparantly a USG state-sponosred assassination of our very own diplo and security personnel there on the ground, through lack of action. And these chucks in D.C. heard those blood-curdling pleas and read those emergency broadcast alerts (request for Commander in Extremis rescue action), and then simply went to bed with a clear conscience somehow, one of them even heading out to Vegas early the next day for a Democratic campaign fundraiser! (His Emminence, "The One"). Somebody VERY senior put two and two together and panicked, figuring a) we are way too close Election Day with this Romney on our heels, and b) if what those four in the field know breaks out, we are in deep sh*t. So they ignored their pleas on purpose, and arranged a Death by Rabid Terrorist conclusion on the whole matter (smuggling weapons to Syria in link with al-Qaeda, al-Qaeda affiliated people serving as (ironically) guards to our diplomatic staff in Libya. The whole thing stinks to high heaven and all I want to shout toward the White House and Foggy Bottom is: "Bastards!" And part of my wrath is reserved for our corrupt, discredited, biased American MSM as well. They've been material cover up actors in this charade for months on end as well, part and parcel of the whole corrupt and unethical system.

“The White House apparently panicked when the consulate came under attack. The main concern was not with the U.S. personnel in Benghazi but over potential political repercussions. Obama (VALARIE JARRETT) may have envisaged a repeat of Jimmy Carter’s failed rescue of Iranian hostages. Or he may have feared an armed U.S. incursion into Benghazi would damage relations with Libya. So he decided to do nothing and hope for the best. The issue was confined to the most senior national security officials because they are political appointees. Had the Counterterrorism Security Group been convened they would have followed established doctrine which would have involved a rescue attempt followed by tracking down the attackers and destroying them”
Yep, agree with the above with the exception that you need to substitute Valarie Jarretts name where you now have Obamas.

——The admin WANTED those people dead-——
I don’t think so. I think the administration was like Hitler’s Germany. They were unable to make decisions without authority from above.
The problem is that there was no one above willing to make a decision. The process is called dithering. Before the dithering could end, the decision to act was no longer necessary. The people were dead.
