On the other hand Jeremy Benthem’s goal was “The greatest good for the greatest number.” A position that seems to favor future children.
What do they mean nothing wrong with that?!? Gender identity disorder is a pronounced mental illness! And they gleefully embraced this guys failed “economic theory”?!?
IMHO, Keynesian economics is “gay” too. Both involve a lot of bending over.
Why are church officials who have abused young boys never referred to as “homosexuals” by the MSM?
“if you are gay or childless, you cannot care about future generations nor society.
A logical proposition- if you have no stake in the future, then there is no reason to be concerned.
“I dont give a carp if he was homosexual or not. Millions have suffered because of his wrong-headed theories.”
Very few theories exist in an intellectual vacuum.
A fish discussing respiration is thinking of a totally different reality than a cat discussing respiration. (assuming for the moment that both could actually think & discuss).
One’s world view is the foundation for one’s ideas, theories & actions. This is why John Adams wrote:
“Because we have no government, armed with power, capable of contending with human passions, unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge and licentiousness would break the strongest cords of our Constitution, as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. Oaths in this country are as yet universally considered as sacred obligations.”
I had a friend to whom rules & restraints carried not enough weight, beginning with marital restraints. He ended up killing a number of people by ignoring weather minimums and thereby flying into a 1500’ granite cliff.
Not every moral man is a great economist, leader, journalist or pilot. However, if a man will cheat on his wife, after making a solemn oath before God and the assembly of family, friends and community, then he cannot be completely trusted in other areas.
A trustworthy man has disciplined himself to subjugate his passions to a greater good and higher moral authority. He knows that he is accountable for his actions. The hedonist cares little for consequences not personally affecting himself.
People influencing the future of our country, whether legislatively or economically, should have a VESTED INTEREST in that future. Would you board an airplane whose pilot had just given a talk saying,
“Live for today, for tomorrow we die!”
“By the way, I have terminal cancer and three weeks to live.”
Is there a discount?
It’s a line from Seinfeld.
After all, Keynes famously proclaimed in the long run were all dead.
Then he stands up and says, "No *I* am Spartacus..!" And you know what? It was fabulous, and I just, like, got ALL these tingles up my leg...!
He was TOTALLY amazing.
You had to be there, seeing it --TOTALLY amazing.

Yes, I'm aware of that, thanks.
Fact is, it's most often used of late as a cutesy exculpatory remark by those who, while apparently lacking the courage of conviction, are nonetheless hoping to demonstrate how very 'hip' and extraordinarily 'open-minded' they are .

Aside from the difficulty of conjuring up a more illogical ad hominem style of argument that ignores the tremendous contributions of the childless committed to helping build a better world, on a more positive note, if only parenthood did reliably confer empathy for one’s fellow humans, we would all have better mental health, greater conscience development, and higher intelligence. :)
I teach other people’s kids, and have none, and would myself be proof that Ferguson is wrong. But my experiences indicate he would be right more than wrong.

The point is that his theory doesn’t hold in the case of a president that is purposefully wracking up debt without attempting to pay it down in order to destroy the national economy. It is not gay, it is not childless (the Obama kids will be well taken care of) and it is especially not Keynsian, which does not advocate long-term structural deficits.
“Not That There’s Anything Wrong With That”
Yes, there is.
Yes that's correct. He even kept a diary of the boys he buggered. For example, Keynes raped a boy who delivered coal to his house. Keynes was also a eugenist. He was a member (treasurer) of the Cambridge Eugenics Society and also a member of the Galton-Darwin Eugenics Society. I think he was involved with population control. It's interesting that his nephew, William MIlo Keynes, was the son of Margaret Darwin, Charles Darwin's granddaughter. William Milo Keynes was also a member of the Eugenics Society.
