Glad to be back at Choir - I've missed being there, and I was warmly welcomed - I was quite moved. I have sung with some of these friends for many years. A few of them sang with me for the Papal Mass at Nationals Stadium in April 2008. That Mass was held the day after my last radiation treatment - I'm now five years post treatment, so I guess I must be a cancer survivor.
We're singing some of the old standards in the next few weeks - despite my long absence, those hymns are so internalized in my core memory that I could never forget them.
Coming up for Pentecost -"Come Holy Ghost", of course! I first sang it in 1953 - a notable anniversary!

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)
