Written in 1947 by Ken Lane, who was Dean’s music director for his TV show. Dean finally got around to recording it in 1964, and it became his biggest hit.

Thelma Houston had been one of Jimmy Webb’s projects, but her work for Webb didn’t score, and neither did her work for Motown. She managed to get a hit when she put her career in the hands of the Philadelphia duo of Leon Huff and Kenny Gamble. It came in at #5 this week.
