Shock poll: Wealthy, not middle class, support Obama
Washington Examiner ^ | May 1, 2013

President Obama's approval numbers are starting to mimic Mitt Romney's.

According to a new YouGov poll, it's the rich -- not the poor or middle class -- who back Obama more despite his 2012 campaign attacking the rich.

The poll for the Economist found that fewer than half of those with incomes less than $100,000 per year approve of Obama's performance, while he enjoys a 54 percent approval rating among those with incomes higher than that.

Those earning less than $40,000 a year disapprove of the president's performance, 51 percent to 45 percent. Those earning $40,000 to $100,000 disapprove by a rate of 50 percent to 48 percent.

"A largely jobless recovery coupled with a Quantitative-Easing-fueled stock market rally seems to earn more smiles from the upscale among us, fewer from the working class," said the pollsters.

stable?

Perhaps too independent.

The uber wealthy have a desire to control others, since their lives aren’t much of a struggle, they have to have something to do...

And the poor, in general, love socialism because it gives them more than they’d have on the effort they’re willing to put forth.

Well, they are the only ones who can afford it. And it makes them FEEL good. And cool.

it has been that way for years, many years. Wall Street controls Congress pretty well, but the Democrats are push overs - they love that Wall Street money in their pockets.

Yeah, I hate to mimic Facebook, but there are many posts I would like to “like” but have no comment on. Mostly because it’s all been said.

No doubt skewed by substantially higher incomes in populous blue states. At least they get to pay a higher % of obama’s rate hikes vis a vis their purchasing power.

Suckers.

The one unique aspect we used to have was moving up and down classes.

Socialism stops the movement, that is why they like it.

This is no shock if you think about it (not that anyone from a newspaper would think about anything)

Those who are “rich enough” to have ensconced themselves in a bubble and who are not especially subject to the worries over the economy are doing fine. This is what people do, they anesthetize themselves, when possible. No criticism, really, some use illegal drugs, some use doodads, some use their families, some use activities they enjoy.

Those who have to work for their living hour by hour for deteriorating wages and view their future as increasingly uncertain as they see their rights decreased, their incomes threatened, the government increasingly intruding upon their freedoms and ability to make a living by endless executive orders and diktats, those people are worried. They might not be, if they viewed the sacrifice of and intrusion upon their freedoms as buying some kind of safety or security, but the longer this farce of a president and admin go, the more and more incompetent they appear. I see the disapproval of this regime as utterly natural. It is the drunken, obsequious worship of these turdballs that seems completely synthetic, an act, a hallucination.

It would be cool to have some sort of approval count,
and then a page of top posts of the day/week/month.

It reminds me of those snooty ants in Bug’s Life. They have nothing to but do things to help the ‘less fortunate’ and ease their guilt of living ridiculously while others starve.

The Democratic Party, and the monopoly known as the Associated Press, are a conspiracy against the people who are too proud to accept patronization as “poor” - and too poor to be able to afford to pay protection money to the Democrat-AP axis. The middle class needs a party to defend their interest, which the public interest as expressed in Constitution. The Republican Party should be that party, and on good days it is. But the Republican Party is not the party of the rich, and the rich do not adhere to it.

No shock there. The parents of today’s wealthy elite sent them to schools where their brains were washed with leftist acid. Case in point: Notice that Jason Collins cited as one of his biggest influences his Stanford roommate, now-Rep. Joe Kennedy III, who couldn’t wait to march arm-in-arm with him in the next Pride Parade. (Kennedy had already marched in the most recent one.)
