We need help in SC-01. Mark Sanford is running slightly behind Democrat Elizabeth Colbert-Busch thanks to a ton of Nancy Pelosi's money. Now we could debate whether Sanford was the best candidate or not for Republicans but it is what it is.
The 2nd place guy, Curtis Bostic, has many supporters pledging to write in his name. Even Bostic's son is encouraging it on his Twitter account. We need to encourage Bostic to do the right thing and discourage his supporters from writing in any name and encourage them to vote for Mark Sanford (even if it's not an "endorsement" of Sanford.)
Please sign this petition. It IS known about by Bostic's team. (If you don't feel comfortable putting your email address -- just use a different one. It doesn't validate it.)

THANK YOU!

I’d much rather see a petition to get Sanford’s supporters to write in Bostic. I’d sign that. Not sure about this one.

Sanford won the primary. The time for that debate is over. We need to step up and win this seat or that’s one seat closer to a Speaker Pelosi again.
No. Tell Hotpants to take his whore and move back to Argentina.
And as a result, Nancy Pelosi wins and we get punished for Sanford’s sins. Not smart.
No you don’t.
If the guy won’t honor his vows to his wife, what makes you think he’ll abide by his oath of office or by any promise he makes?
I don’t care who wins, as long as it isn’t Sanford.
The choices are Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch or Republican Mark Sanford. I think I can live with Sanford.
Sanford went AWOL. I donated to Bostic, who would have won easily against your crazy candidate. I’ll contact him and tell him not to endorse your pathological narcissist. He is NUTS. And if he wins this time he won’t go away and leave South Carolina alone.
Then either Colbert Busch wins because of Sanford’s baggage and the voters in SC-1 take it back in 2014 with a better conservative candidate like Bostic...or Sanford wins and the voters in SC-1 primary him and kick him out in 2014 and replace him with a better conservative candidate like Bostic. Or if not Bostic, somebody else. Just not Sanford.
If he wins the special election, fine. But he needs to be gone come November 2014 one way or the other.
I liked the guy, I voted for him his first term as governor when I lived in Columbia, I was ready to support him for President if he ran. But I take it very seriously when a politician breaks an oath on a whim, be it “till death do us part” or “preserve, protect, and defend.” It shows an unfitness for higher office IMO, because if he breaks one, he’s very likely to break the other.

no. we don’t need anymore fornicating leftist republicans.
I’m talking to a lot of folks here in the district and quite a few solid conservatives are staying home. Other Republicans are supporting Sanford no matter what and some are voting for Colbert.
Yes, I know the line if you stay home you’re voting for Pelosi, throwing away your vote, blah, blah, blah. Sometimes people just have enough of the clowns on both sides. Just because the person has a name (R) doesn’t automatically mean they should get our vote just because they aren’t the (D) candidate. Voting for R’s no matter what is how we ended up with disaster candidates election after election.
Plus, if Sanford does win, we’ll be stuck with him indefinitely. SC voters tend to value incumbency and name recognition over a lot of things. Look at our track record with Grahamnesty, Thurman and Hollings.
What a clusterflop that the voters created by voting not once but twice for this guy!
No.
The best of 2 evils is still evil. I am thru with pretending it is ok. Pelosi wins, so be it.

Glad I don’t have to.
Of course, I’m stuck with Chambliss and Isakson. Chambilss is retiring (thank goodness!) But Isakson will never get my vote again. (Unless a miracle happens and they vote against the upcoming Comprehensive Amnesty. ) Don’t care if a Democrat wins.
Charleston and Myrtle Beach regions are experiencing the same demographic shifts that North Carolina and much of the nation have seen. If Sanford loses the special election, SC-1 is not an automatic pick up for the GOP come 2014. I am afraid that Mississippi and Alabama are the last two solidly red states. South Carolina is starting to get a purple tinge on the electoral map.
Republican states are BLUE, not RED -— see any map of the 1980 and 1984 elections in which Reagan won.
The alphabet media flipped the colors in order to confuse voters on the west coast.
That said, Mark Sanford should find something to do, other than running for governor or Congressman.
I have a better idea. Why doesn’t the morally challenged, self infatuated, former Gov. Sanford step aside and endorse the number 2 guy. Mark Sanford is garbage. I’d rather see a rat get the seat than him.
You do know Sanford is a clown, right? That’s usually a sign that’s something slipping besides the libido.
Isakson’s office “claims” he is against Shamnesty II. I didn’t get through to Chambliss yet. I still haven’t forgotten when I called their offices the first time, was told they hadn’t made up their minds, and then came to FR and saw that disgusting picture of them all yukking it up over the bill. I called back their offices and went off on them.
