House Republicans have concluded that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was responsible for cutting security at the consulate in Benghazi ahead of last year’s attack there, and that the administration lied about why it downplayed terrorism as the cause of the assault.
A new report — the result of months of investigation by five different House committees — says there was plenty of intelligence that presaged the attack, but the State Department and President Obama failed to heed the warnings or give the Defense Department the authority to respond to such an attack.
The report exonerates the Pentagon itself, saying the military did what it could to respond once the attack began, but “was hindered on account of U.S. military forces not being properly postured” beforehand.
In the most damning finding, House Republicans said Mr. Obama and his team lied about the attacks afterward, first by blaming mob violence spawned by an anti-Muslim video, and then wrongly saying it had misled the public because it was trying to protect an FBI investigation.

Does the report discuss cross-border authority and whether or not it was given during the fire-fight that eventually ended up with four dead Americans?

And probably too soon since this report doesn’t seem to have any corroborating evidence from the Benghazi survivors.
I want to see more details. Where was Obama all night long?
I hope this is just the first shoe dropping and Congressman Darrell Isa has hearings with the survivors.

It amazes me that tens of thousands of State Department employees continue to go to work every day in very dangerous areas, with not a peep of complaint.
If Benghazi had happened on Bush’s watch, there’d be all kinds of unrest among the troops... and the MSM would be right there to cover it, with the silhouette views, the distorted voice interviews, the “because (s)he is not authorized to speak to the media” disclaimers.
But under Obama, no one cares. No one seems to give a fig.
Could be loyalty to King Putt; no doubt that’s part of it.
Could also be the whole Benghazi operation was dirty, and everyone on the inside knows it. Maybe their attitude is “play with fire and you get burned.”

The issue isn’t whether State downgraded Benghazi a few years ago; before CIA decided to use the facility for other purposes:
The issue is why didn’t any of the multitude of government agencies decided to allow the Americans to fend for themselves, and have no-one issue orders to protect the Americans; CIA, State, military, cililian!
But “Who cares! What difference does it make at this point!”
The libs will all say, “Yeah, sure. The lyin’ Republicans in the HOUSE!”
She will run for President in 2016, I believe, and as many ignorant, entitled, dumbed-down, brain-washed, God-hating libs will vote for her, as voted for Obamullah! (And she will be the next POTUS, if something isn’t done soon!)
