You got it right. He's relating it to 911 spiriting 140 out of the country. I thought it was to protect them from Americans who might become vigilantes. There was some of that but one was some poor Sikh. There is more to it than that.

I'm trying to figure out why the two brothers would have gone to MIT. Still lots of missing information. People will forget and want to move on.
