I'm in the energy business and Koch is a very good supplier. They (the traders and the administrators) know their business. They run it very conservatively, and I mean that from a business POV not a political POV.

Not much. What do you know? I’m looking to be educated, are you? I do know they contribute heavily to the ACLU and libertarian causes. I do know I need to know more about them before I decide to get all excited about them controlling big media outlets.

Maybe they'll leave that number (pensions - and even some of the old debt) out of the equation.

All I know Koch Energy is run well. Koch is asset heavy or long, the opposite of Enron which was asset light or short. They have sound business practices. They understand capitalism.

TAMPA, Fla. – Billionaire industrialist David Koch, who is helping steer millions of dollars to elect Mitt Romney and congressional Republicans, on Thursday told POLITICO he disagrees with the GOP’s stance on gay marriage and believes the U.S. needs to consider raising taxes to balance the budget.

Koch, who is serving as a delegate to the Republican National Convention from New York, spoke to POLITICO after delivering brief remarks at a reception held in his honor by Americans for Prosperity, the political advocacy group he chairs and has helped fund.

The 1980 vice presidential nominee for the socially liberal — but fiscally conservative — Libertarian Party, Koch told POLITICO “I believe in gay marriage” when asked about the GOP’s stance on gay rights.

Don’t remind me, I don’t get involved with the gay marriage debate, there are more important thing, but about 90% of Free Republic disagrees with David Koch. Tell them.

I absolutely hated the ACLU, but with the passing of the Patriot Act they may one day be our last hope, so now I just hate them.

I have no problem with them speaking out for what they support and obviously agree with them on most things free market. My real issue is with worshipers who go off the rails at any criticism.

Looks like all the big money in the last election supports gay marriage and open borders to some extent. I supported Rick Santorum and I know that Foster Freiss support for those issues is only a difference of degree but probably the most conservative of that bunch. Sheldon Adelson is outright liberal.
