Letting their hostage go to call the cops seemed to me like they wanted to be chased. Suicide vests says to me they wanted to die rather than be caught, and take out as many as possible with them. The grenades, bomb threats during the chase, rocket in the basement, etc suggests that we’re talking about a bigger cell behind all this. And the dad’s language suggests the cell will respond once these 2 are both dead.
That’s just how it looks from here. I guess we’ll see.
I was running an errand at 6 oclock and tuned npr. They reported that the dad’s interview ended when Russian security showed up. Anyone else hear that?
