Perhaps ? that was the only thing available or not available from their enablers at the time and the situation got out of hand and their enablers ( the Saudis ) skipped out on them with the money and all ( after all ? a high ranking Saudi official came unannounced and took one of their fellows home on a airplane ) and left them do the dirty job on their own ?

No I have not, but it’s quite possible they needed more. Who knows. Maybe the bought plane tickets and then couldn’t make the airport. And lost a lot of money b/c of it. We just don’t know.
