Killing an 8 year old vs. an 80 year old may be no different but I think it takes a special kind of evil to set a bomb down next to a kid.

There are not equivelant at all. We have here an enemy using roughly military grade ordnance on civilians & police in the homeland.
The only proper response is dropping the dogs of war on scum like that. Seal Team Six with Rangers on the perimeter and air support above would be fine by me.
