A high-ranking federal law enforcement official confirmed a photo of what is believed to be the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings.
The official told FOX 25 the man in the white hat will be identified as suspect #2 at a 5 p.m. press conference Thursday.
The picture also shows what appears to be a backpack on the ground matching the description of the bag used in the bombings.
The official tells FOX 25 another image of a first suspect will also be released at the conference.
Anyone with information on the marathon bombing suspect is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324) and choose prompt 3. Tips can also be e-mailed to boston@ic.fbi.gov.

It is starting to sound like a ‘Oklahoma City’ redo. They need to play it close to their chin Obama like until they find the ‘white’ guy.

It’s only a 3 1/2 hour drive to the border from Boston, so they coud have been out of country by 6:30pm the same day.
I would lay odds that somewhere in the world, these guys are government-subsidized students.
Canada would be a logical place to start checking, they have a large muslim student population and would be out of the direct reach of US law enforcement.
I thought the news was saying one was white? these dudes look ethnic to me. not sure what but def not average american white guys. maybe they could be of ethnic descent and still citizens. idk.

The men in the pics look like half of the young men in Seattle, which must be the backpack capital of the world.
I don’t know that I agree with you that smiling in the photo indicates something nefarious.
Could be that he’s happy to be alive and has no loved ones injured or killed. He has a reason to be happy, even if it might seem inappropriate, but he probably wasn’t thinking about that. “Oh, this picture might make it to the internet, so I’d better not smile.”
One thing that strikes me from the pictures, both suspects are wearing caps that are quite distinctive from the front (although I can’t make out the logos from these pictures) that should make it easier to pick them out from pictures . . . and also to anyone looking out for them at the time such as another member of the team?
Yeah, I have to agree. I can't tell at all what #1 looks like... he's disguised pretty well.
I didn't see the 5pm presser live, and didn't see the pics and video of these suspects until just awhile ago when I got home. I kept hearing on Fox News (via XM/Sirius in my car) about how "clear" the pics are, what great images they are. The pics look awfully blurry to me.
Hope they get these guys... somehow. Hope they're not blended into the crowds in Montreal or Toronto by now.
How about clear pictures of the backpacks the explosives were in. Before they exploded and were damaged.

Black-hat’s pack looks awfully light compared to white-hat guy’s bulging pack.
Which bag has been shown after the blow? White hat’s bag has too much light colored material to match what I’d expect from the pictures.
I can’t really remember which bomb site the blown bag was found at either.
For this to jive, black hat guy must have been the one caring the photoed bag and he must have been at the blue railed and flagged site. I think this was the second blow.

The video seems to show both men walking towards the finish line - i.e. away from bomb site two and towards bomb site 1, both with backpacks on. Then the stills show white hat back at site 2 calling (maybe calling the bomb at site 1).
Does not seem to be a logical way to do this, unless they walked to site 1, drop the bag, turned around and at least white hat then walked to site two, called the first bomb, dropped the second bag, and the left and called the second bag.
What part of the sequence do I have wrong?
