A few years ago he had a good shot at winning the GOP nomination for president and now he can not even get the support of his own party to win a House seat.
He is the GOP’s John Edwards.

Is there any way of putting in a substitute candidate at this point? Hell, even a pot smoking Libertarian who is with conservatives on 80% of other issues is better than a GOP version of John Edwards.

The NRCC’s move comes hours after Tuesday night’s report by the Associated Press that Sanford’s ex-wife, Jenny Sanford, filed a court complaint accusing him of trespassing at her home in early February – which would be a violation of the terms of their divorce agreement. Looks like Colbert’s sister is going to get in The House of Representatives the same way Obama did, disqualify your opponent on his bad actions, not on any merits of your qualifications.
