A A spokesperson for the Boston Police Department said no suspects have been taken into custody yet after the bombing at the Boston Marathon.
"At this time, we haven't been notified of any arrests or anyone apprehended," the spokesperson said.
The New York Post reported that a "Saudi national who suffered shrapnel wounds in today's blast" has been identified as "a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing." The Boston PD spokesperson did not confirm that report.
"Honestly, I don't know where they're getting their information from, but it didn't come from us," said the spokesperson.

Obviously a case of workplace violence...
That means marching orders and talking points are starting to trickle down from the WH.
What’s the over/under on “I’s and Me’s” I set it at about 50.
Brutal.
Moslems love death and spilled blood.
Un documented foreign national angst?
LOL, the world is gone mad, or as Travis Mcgee stated so eloquently on another thread, inverted!
That's based on the NY Post and a false headline (Even the Post didn't say the Saudi was arrested.)
There's absolutely no source for the Saudi National story other than the NY Post.
Can’t he treat this per Benghazi protocol and spare us? The locals have it under control.
So the cover-up and blaming the right has already come into play.
Whats the over/under on Is and Mes I set it at about 50.
************
I’ll go 30.
Really?
Is there no end to the lengths these people won’t go to exploit their grief?
I am somewhat surprised that they actually had the casualties that they did have. The Boston Police, in a press conference said the bombs were in trashcans. Usually, in major cities, they have special trashcans that deflect the blast upwards, at least in subeay stations. The sides of the trashcans are made with steel reinforced concrete ane are several inches thick. The trashcan is tapered, so that the top is larger than the bottom, thus allowing the majority of the blast to be deflected upwards. One of two things happened, in my opinion, 1) they didn’t have those type of trash cans in place or 2) the bombs were so powerful as to defeat the design of the trash cans. I’d be interested to find out which it was, and if they didn’t have the reinforced trash cans in place, it would represent significant neglect on the emergency planner’s parts. It would take a huge bomb to defeat the types of trash cans I am talking about.
LOL....I hate to laugh and I don't mean to diminish the seriousness of this event, but it will be amusing to watch the hoops that the PTB will jump through to spin this.
In the mean time, prayers for all of those involved, just damn.
Witholding details until they can figure out a way to spin it to a conservative with an assault rifle.
Thanks for the correction. Do you know if Atlas Shrugged is generally a reliable/unreliable source?
Talking Points Memo is a muslim apologist site. What is the name of the Boston Police spokesman they talked too?
Prayers out to all -— praying for the man in the wheelchair -— that he survives these horrific injuries.
I have never been to Atlas Shrugged before.
It’s just pretty obvious on Google News that every single source other than the NY Post for the Saudi National are blogs that are citing the NY Post.
I’d caution people against a gloatfest because of the NY Post story. It’s a single source, and I’m dubious that the Post is infallible.
As much as people talk about the numerous instances where something was blamed on a right-winger and it turned out otherwise, keep in mind the reverse happens as well (Brevik in Norway).
I get the impression the police chief is just denying everything until more time has passed and things are more certain.
