How did we get here as a country? Debates rage at political-science conferences: Are voters aligning in like-minded areas, or is blatant partisan gerrymandering to blame?

When one side recognizes that they have nothing in common with, nor any desire to compromise with and, indeed, dare not ever trust the other side, "bi-artisanship" is officially dead.

Republican voters have finally reached that point, while Democrat voters have been there for twenty years.

They may be Republicans, but there are very, very few conservatives.

You don’t need to exhaustively examine the reason why. Obama and the Democrats have to deal with a national 4-year problem. They have selected, massively populated districts (think URBAN here, think MINORITY, think ILLEGAL, think rampant cheating). Couple that with selected so-call swing states and districts where your soldiers can lie, cheat and steal votes at over a 100% level, and they win. Not surprising. They can even do this at the Senate level, but with more trouble.

The one big problem they have is the 2 year term on Congressmen, and the fact they are ubiquitously dispersed. Much harder to lie cheat and steal, and they can’t gerrymander this country enough to get a majority. The House is the last bastion of freedom for this country, and it is the only means by which we can stop this madman and his ilk.
