Mass casualty event at Boston Marathon. Reports of at least one explosion.
CNN just reported as well.
Foreign or domestic, this is most certainly a terrorism attack.
I wonder if it was the type of attack where there is one explosion, and when people started coming in to help, another one is detonated.

I am hearing that in the VIP section there were some families of the Newtown victims..just wait, the media will say this was some Republican who wanted to get back at them for pushing gun control, I can already see it happening

Just to help you along... there are multiple reports of victims having been hit with shrapnel in the form of pellets. Sounds like a packed explosive like they use in IEDs and suicide bombers.
IIRC, that bomb used nails and other metal pieces to inflict its damage. Just looked it up again: 111 were injured, 1 person killed directly, 1 indirectly. From the photo posted on one of the blasts, this one feels like it may have had more explosive power, but less shrapnel (just guessing).
FWIW, I suppose you have also reminded me that the guy who plead guilty to that 1996 incident was an anti-abortion activist.
Sounds like standard fare for al-Qaida. Send up the first one, give time for responders to mass in the area, then detonate the second.

It is not an image that our leaders and opinion makers will wish us to see. I recall many such photos on 9-11: blood, gore, anguished faces, exploded bodies. All vanished within 24 hours. I am convinced that they would have removed images of the towers collapsing if they could have.

It was the first thing that crossed my mind when I read that Newtown families were in the VIP section..that the media will say “Some right winger did this because Newtown families are pushing for gun control” you can already see the writing on the wall..that Wolf Blitzer idiot is asking what if someone against tax hikes did this..the narrative is already out there..the media will blame the GOP
