"We had an interesting discussion about why fewer students are coming to, particularly from Japan, to study in the United States, and one of the responses I got from our officials from conversations with parents here is that they're actually scared. They think they're not safe in the United States and so they don't come," Kerry tells CNN.

Easy solution.
Don’t come here.
After all, if these “students” are majoring in something other than science or engineeering, our schools aren’t worth a smelly Obama and they’d be much better off in their own countries.
And the science and math students are smart enough to understand how a gun works and consequently are not “scared” of them.

LOL bigtime. One of the public ranges I frequent has lots of Japanese tourists who rent, and shoot, the very first time. Impossible to do at home, I think some may even be part of a tour group.

Instead of portraying America as the Wild Wild West, why didn't Sec State dispel the myth? Isn't his job (getting paid to do) representing OUR STATES overseas?
Fn Kerry could have pointed out all those inner city killings and high crime rates all under Dem control for a long long time and most if not all have STRICTEST gun control laws. FUJ(Fn)K!

I have foreign friends, mostly from Asia - and they LOVE target-shooting. Certainly not something they are allowed to do in China, or Korea.
