WASHINGTON - Former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura became new grandparents Saturday when their daughter, Jenna Hager, gave birth to a baby girl named Mila.
"Laura and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our grandchild, Margaret Laura 'Mila' Hager. Mila, daughter of Jenna and Henry Hager, is named for her grandmothers," Bush said in a statement. "We met our beautiful granddaughter today. Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated."
Mila, the Bush couple's first grandchild, was born at 8:43 p.m. Saturday in New York City.

The republic will survive my opinion of the Bush family, regardless of what it is. Don’t delude yourself otherwise.

Get over yourself. I know that George and Laura Bush are just thrilled to be grandparents, as Jenna and Henry are to be first time parents. What on earth is the problem with being HAPPY for someone, given such a wonderful event, even someone with whom you may not politically agree?

Been a while since I posted, but, gotta say, as a strong conservative and fundamental, Bible believing Christian I think W was and is a good man, a very good President and a patriot. I miss him.

Not so much the Patriot Act, the Bail Outs, the insane push for illegal immigration, the failed War on Terror, and the fact that W didn't stand up for Mitt by outlining what a 9/11 failure Benghazi was. In fact, Condi gave Obama and Hillary cover on Benghazi.
As for Bush being a Christian, no Christian would make this statement:
“All religions pray to same God. That's what I believe. I believe Islam is a great religion that preaches peace.”

As for the two young people who just had a baby, they fit the definition of celebrity to a “T”: known for being known!

First, we on this forum need to know how to get along. And we need to know how to say things in a way that does not piss everybody off. And third, we all need wisdom so that we can distinguish between sense and non-sense. It is called discernment.
That being said, I voted twice each for Bush I and Bush II...they were, in each case, the lesser of two evils. I will never vote again for a Bush anything. They were and are bad for this country, bad for anything that we might consider ‘Conservative’.
And I believe they ‘gave us’ Obama...
