Since you are not referencing a specific incident, and are leaving the question open to interpretation, what if the truck that was accidentally stopped contained wanted violent felons who were intent on killing a police officer?

The incident to which you are referring was still classified as a mistake though wasn’t it? If you have information that the officers decided to randomly stop a vehicle and open fire on it I would like to read it.
