They keep telling you they have noting but good intentions, that to worry about the feds coming for your guns makes you part of “the black helicopter crowd.” But then things like this happen: In Missouri, federal investigators have demanded and obtained from the state government — apparently twice — the entire list of Missouri concealed weapon permit holders.
As Matt Drudge notes, the Columbia Daily Tribune reports that in November 2011 and January 2012, the state highway patrol asked for and received the list of about 185,000 concealed weapon permit holders from the motor vehicle department — the only state agency to store all the names, because an indication that one is a permit holder is noted on driver’s licenses. The information is supposed to be held confidentially by the state, but it was turned over — once on-line, once on a disk — to the highway police, which then proceeded to share it with the federal Social Security Administration Office of Inspector General. State senators trying to get to the bottom of what happened, have been told there was no written request for the information. The state highway patrol says, “The information was provided to law enforcement for law enforcement investigative purposes” — not a very enlightening explanation of why every single licensed concealed weapon owner needed to be investigated by state and federal police.
Rob Schaaf, a Republican state senator who is pursuing the matters summed it up this way: “Now we know two things. We know that somebody out there, probably in the federal government, wants the list of all the concealed carry holders in Missouri. We know that now. We know one other piece of information – we know the [highway patrol] department is actively and purposefully concealing that information from us.”
Oh, BTW. Next time ya’ll come for me, please don’t mill around aimlessly under a streetlight. It makes the decision that much more difficult. Overwhelming odds are so much better. But, you better give me a way out. Or, I may not give you a way out next time.

So, we'll keep on begging for crumbs from our betters and when finally they ban all weapons, except for those that are protecting them, then we will all agree that we are better off, and safer for it.
Just wave money from the DHS in front of them and you win their undying love and devotion.
Our Constitution GUARANTEED our right to bare arms.
It is our Legislators that have become our Aristocracy and now THEY make the rules and a fair portion of our “Dumbded Down” Citizenry have no clue one way or the other.
One way to guarantee our rights is for everyone to carry their weapons open for all to see and make local / national law enforcement try and take that right away.
If enough people stood their ground this problem would not exist. Conceal Carry was one way of getting around the problem for the government and covering up the right to open carry.
Glad to see you finally got around to reading the Constitution.
We do not have the right to carry RPGs, Mortars/Launchers, bazookas etc as they do not qualify as personal weapons for self defense.
We can carry knives openly and I know of no such law restricting them yet 6 times as many people are killed with knives than all guns (combined with), poison, cars, hatchets, hammers and so on.
But nobody EVER mentions knives in laws or on the news.
Get shot with a gun and you are on every TV Station there is. Get stabbed with a knife and you may get a small notice in your local newspaper.
Some old people are really amazing! I’ve heard of some people in their 80, older veterans specifically, catching robbers and thugs when they try to rob them or break into their houses!
Some older animals are amazing too! Just when you think they can’t do some things anymore, because of issues with senses, they surprise you! We had an elderly cat several years ago who we suspected was losing hearing, sight, etc.. We didn’t think she could do much in hunting or catching mice anymore. Well guess what? She bagged 4 mice the year or two before she died at about 17 years old!
Of course, she wasn’t able to do what she did as a much younger cat, but not bad for her advanced age; I was always bragging about her abilities at her age!
Michigan is one of two states protecting firearms ownership, and from the 4th amendment crunch Obayma passed in 2012 through the NDAA.
It is time for We the people to grow a pair and take our nation back.
Michigan is also an open carry state. I'ld personally rather carry a long gun openly than a handgun hidden.

Oh how I wish my favored (and Sarah Palin’s endorsed) primary candidate (Sarah Steelman) in last year’s Missouri US Senate race had prevailed in the Republican primary. Things would be very different today if she had.

In principle, I agree with all your statements about the Second Amendment.
On the other hand, it is painfully ironic that the people who have the worst crime rate vote overwhelmingly for candidates who want to disarm law abiding citizens.
Get involved with the local GOP or Tea Party folks. Try to persuade family, neighbors and coworkers on the issues like the privacy of concealed carry in Missouri and here. The rats are wrecking the culture. They will wreck the middle class. I'm hard pressed to think of unquestionably good ideas from the government since the G.I. Bill, the Civil Rights Act and parts of the Voting Rights Act.
Not if the government gets to them first.
Don't know exacly to what your refer but the Texas House of Representative just sent HB1076 to the floor for a vote. This bill nullifies any and all new Federal gun laws and renders them unenforceable in the State of Texas.
