In fact,, the NRA compromised with the socialist to pass the first mandatory background checks on firearms and provided support for the 1994 assault weapons ban through “compromising” with the socialist! The NRA’s support of the 1994 assault weapons ban brought about numerous other 2nd amendment protection organizations to counter the NRA’s sellout to the socialist.
I'm concerned about some of the NRA board members...one in paricular who sells out conservatism every chance he gets. Time will tell how much influence one has.
