If Dennis Rodman can go to North Korea and hang with leader Kim Jong-un, then why cant Stevie Wonder? As tensions rise on the Korean Peninsula, and Kim threatens nuclear war against the U.S. and its allies in the region, the music legend says hed like to travel there and talk some sense into the young Supreme Leader.
Speaking about unity and love with reporters backstage at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night, Wonder said, Listen, we could not be here without love. I wish I could say to the president at this very moment, President Obama, will you let me go to North Korea to talk to the leader? Because he must not know the people that are helpless, thatll be killed, if there were war. His voice breaking, Stevie added, Its emotional to me.

Old joke and this is a Stevie Wonder love thread, so it fits right in.
Stand corrected.
It was 47 or 48 years ago...
“He would be totally ineffectual on the Streets of Chicago”
Well, not entirely, because they’d show him some respect just as a matter of course. His free concert in Grant Park was about the only concert I can remember in Grant Park where there wasn’t a gang shooting, and not because the gang bangers stayed home.
Kim, on the other hand, isn’t going to extend him that kind of respect, I think.
He will go to NK and sing him “Part Time Lovers”
Sure, I don’t doubt they went right back to their usual behavior once the show was over. Still, the savages at least showed a little respect for the man while he was there, which is more than they show for most.
Maybe too complex and varied for Stevie Wonder's magic - even if they respect him. But Wonder's magic might work with the guy running North Korea... It just seems a fit to me - seems I'm alone on this one...
moron. blind in more ways than one
Obama should assemble a cadre of distinguished black athletes and entertainers who are willing to fly to Iran, North Korea and other hellholes to make peace
Danny Glover and JayZee are available I hear. And Roberta Flack will come out of retirement. Ben Vereen is ready to roll
Me too. I think Stevie Wonder and Kim Jun Un are a natural fit. We should send other Hollywood stars there too on one way tickets. The NK leaders seem to be hung up on Hollywood.
When (idiot) Madeline Albright went to NK all that Kim Jung Il would talk about was Hollywood movies
Yep, words like infantile and shallow come to mind...childlike... narcissistic...
