Sure, I don’t doubt they went right back to their usual behavior once the show was over. Still, the savages at least showed a little respect for the man while he was there, which is more than they show for most.
Many many years ago a Blackstone Ranger ( an old Chicago gang from the 60's) walked me and my 5 year old niece out of an area where a gang battle/war was going to be taking place. I assured him we would leave and we were fine - but he walked us out anyhow. No one's bad 24/7. That said a few months later the same group killed a 15 year old girl who lived on my block in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood... Gangs are complex.
Maybe too complex and varied for Stevie Wonder's magic - even if they respect him. But Wonder's magic might work with the guy running North Korea... It just seems a fit to me - seems I'm alone on this one...
