SANFORD - Trayvon Martin's parents have settled a wrongful death claim for an amount believed to be more than $1 million against the homeowners association of the Sanford subdivision where their teenage son was killed.
Their attorney, Benjamin Crump, filed that paperwork at the Seminole County Courthouse, a portion of which was made public today.

Excellant Point!
“......People mistake criticism of culture, as criticism of race...and the fact is the ghetto culture that Trayvon embraced is an inferior culture...nothing to do with the color of his skin, which he didnt choose, but he chose which culture to belong to.”
And if their son proves to be a punk who picked a fight, then they should pay 1,000,000.00 bucks to the housing association.
Fair is fair.
???? Doesn’t there have to be a trial for Zimmerman first? This doesn’t make any sense.
I think post 74 is as good a guess as anything. At least I hope so.
Now that Crumb and the “greiving parents” have been bought off; lets hope this case is dismissed.
But I’m afraid this only adds to the blood in the water and these sharks are now going to go into a full blown attack.
I see the trigger-happy Moderator pulled post #6 anyway after sakic mashed "Abuse" a few times no doubt. Can't be too careful, you know. That Mod must work for the HOA that did this stupid thing.
It was done to raise the money for legal expenses that the Scheme Teamers might be now individually be facing. Who knows -- even Witness 8 may be asking for money for her own attorney.
Also there are people who were promised money that are now clammoring for it as the case goes south.
Public relations people and community operatives who organize demonstrations and riots generally want their money upfront, but one way or another they want their money.
And I see Crump deducting his attorney Blackwell's fees past present and future from any payout -- and those could be substantial -- and Blackwell will want those upfront.
Sybrina and Tracey may be getting less out of this than they expected and it may be going to their own attorneys.
Wrongful death?
Zimmerman is still alive, last I’ve heard. :o)
Now the parents are going to get paid for bad parenting. Screw 'em all.
Zot you!
How true!
It was his parents' responsibility to keep him from sinking into that miasma. Yet here they are squeezing a million+ out of the HOA (or its insurer) for the consequence of their own failure!
Did you see they also moved this to Chat?
Of course, that’s routine for FR. Just like the MSM, they downplay the black on white crimes and the stories about them.
From O’Mara’s PETITION FOR WRIT OF CERTIORARI:
A civil lawyer with a vested interest in the outcome of the case should not be
allowed to keep evidence from law enforcement; potentially influence significant
witnesses; speak on national television about evidence he claims to exist and
witnesses he has spoken with; accuse several law enforcement agencies of
dishonesty; otherwise play a central role in the media persecution; and then gather
evidence to further the prosecution of the Petitioner and, as a result, significantly
threaten Mr. Zimmermans chance of having a fair trial, yet claim he is not subject
to a deposition regarding non-privileged matters. [p40]
no I didn’t know. sorry
oh ok. sorry.
That’s racist
This from the article:
“the monies being paid hereunder is consideration for avoiding litigation”.
Baby Daddy’s girlfriend owns one of the units right?
So I hope they send her a monthly assessment to cover the settlement, the whole settlement.
Yes, we have a trigger-happy Mod on duty. Probably the same one that was locking threads left and right as “dupes” a couple weeks back, even though they were different stories. I think it was the Mod that was a “dupe.” That or he/she/it just hates certain posters.
It’s why I don’t post stories anymore. I got tired of them being locked, renamed without my permission, pulled or stuffed into cheeseville. Like this one.
It will be fun to watch them blow through it........ IF they actually collect.
