Recitative, QuintetThe action shifts to the conference room of the Jerusalem Temple. Caiaphas (basso profundo) and Annas (countertenor) discuss what needs to be done about Jesus. The crowd’s line in the recitative appears later in the scene where the people demand crucifixion. Andy was already thinking ahead to the irony of the situation.
