Liz Cheney: Republicans, Get Over the 2012 Loss—and Start Fighting Back
Wall Street Journal ^ | March 28, 2013 | Liz Chney

Posted on 03/29/2013 5:18:14 PM PDT by Innovative

President Obama is the most radical man ever to occupy the Oval Office. The national debt, which he is intent on increasing, has passed $16 trillion. He believes that more government borrowing and spending are the solution to every problem. He seems unaware that the free-enterprise system has lifted more people out of poverty than any other economic system devised by man.

The president has launched a war on Americans' Second Amendment rights. He has launched a war on religious freedom. He has launched a war on fossil fuels. He is working to nationalize one-sixth of the economy with job-killing ObamaCare. He wants to collect a greater portion of every American paycheck, not for the purpose of paying down the national debt but to expand his governing machine. He doesn't believe in creating a bigger pie with more opportunity for all. He believes in greater redistribution of a much smaller pie. If you're unsure of what this America would look like, Google "Cyprus" or "Greece."

The president has so effectively diminished American strength abroad that there is no longer a question of whether this was his intent. He is working to pre-emptively disarm the United States. He advocates slashing our nuclear arsenal even as the North Koreans threaten us and the Iranians close in on their own nuclear weapon. He has turned his back on America's allies around the world and ignored growing threats.

Finally someone tells it like it is. This is exactly what Republicans and conservative should do -- point out Obama's real agenda to the public.

RIGHT ON.

About time someone spoke up.

This is what Republicans need to say 24/7. Loudly.

I always liked her and she is right. But its hardly surprising the GOP has rolled over and played dead with leadership from those two dogs Boehner and McConnell.

I wish she, VP Cheney, president Bush and Laura would post the actual costs of their vacations, travel, and locations and dates of their travel.

I am so sick of the left covering for Obama and Biden’s excesses and then says Bush and Cheney did it more!

that just doesn’t feel right, but only the Cheneys and Bushs can put out a ledger of what really went down, and how much their presidency cost tax payers. I remember stories of Bush and peanut and jelly sandwiches, working vacations in Crawford. Biden spends 1.3 million on 2days in Europe, and the left slanders Mr. Cheney! arrrrgh, come on Liz, nail their lying asses.

Kudos to Liz Cheney; who always 'nails it'. Wish she had her own show at Fox News - and that she would run for 'something'. (As she may; at some point. . .)

The only question is 'why' is Republican 'common sense' such a rarity. Liz 'get's it'; just as a majority of Repub voters do; save those influenced by the Repub 'Elite'; as in an 'elite' wisdom; so imagined'.

We need, more Liz; more Rubio; Cruz; Allen West et al. ..those who do not share this 'mind set'; please; just get out of the way. (And that includes Jeb Bush...and all like-minded Repub 'rinosaurs'. ..)

She has disappeared from the Sunday shows.

“This is what Republicans need to say 24/7. Loudly.”

Agreed. And stop alienating conservatives. Their cynical attempts to marginalize us is destroying the party.

This is what Republicans need to say 24/7. Loudly.

That's not going to happen. It's just not.

If this country is going to be taken back, or even salvaged, it's going to be because the people took to the streets to DEMAND that the Republicans do something. Forget protests against obama; the presstitutes would ignore it anyway. But they wouldn't ignore thousands of conservatives holding protest signs aimed at the Republicans. There might be a few astute liberal press people with functioning brain cells who would WANT to ignore it, but let's face it: They wouldn't be able to stop themselves from gleefully reporting about a "GOP Civil War."

I'm pretty much convinced that short of public protests throughout the country every weekend, our Republic is pretty much done.

About Republicans, or more specifically, the GOPe... You said:

Agreed. And stop alienating conservatives. Their cynical attempts to marginalize us is destroying the party.

Yes, that's because they are playing offense, relegating us to trying to defensively defend what's left of our Republic. They are playing offense against us because we ALLOW them to. (See my previous comments.) Unless and until conservatives decide we've had enough, this will continue.

i just don't see GOPe ever doing something to stop the Death Spiral unless we either shame them publicly into it, or we provide their panty-waisted a**es with cover by protesting in the streets. IOW, "Build it and they will come." (Or ELSE, by gawsh!)
