UPDATED:09:42 EST, 28 March 2013Thousands of armed vigilantes have taken over a town in Mexico and arrested police officers after their 'commander' was killed and dumped in the street.
The self described 'community police' and arrested 12 officers and the town's former director of public security, who they accuse of taking part in the killing of Guadalupe Quinones Carbajal, 28, on behalf of a local organised crime group.

If we arrested them for treason, would the cops protect them?
IF you have a crossbow it could be not long before you have an unregistered gun.. just sayin..
They took them from the guys who had been enforcing those *no military weapons* laws. Some of those *enforcers* no longer have any need for any things of this world.
Vaya con Dios.
True. But vicious animals frequently travel in packs.
There's a sequel out. Like the Three Stooges remake, they've got new actors:
“If you recall, the media lied, distorted and completely ignored the 500,000 who came to the 2010 TEA Party rally with Sarah and Glenn Beck”
Perhaps the first thing to do is march on the media.
“Vigilantism was given a bad rap by the crooks in the Establishment to protect themselves from righteous citizens.”
I watched westerns on TV in the 50s and 60s. I remember that many of the shows were anti-vigilante propaganda. I can’t remember a single show showing vigilantism in a favorable light.
Now, about your screen name...
“The militia shot some tourists for not stopping at a roadblock. Not good.”
They went to Mexico as tourists.
They either did nhot know about or failed to understand what was going on in the town.
They failed to stop when told to do so by armed men.
As Heinlein said, in nature the penalty for stupidity is death. The sentence is executed immediately, and there is no appeal.
They were lucky to come out of it with their lives.
“Revolution on the left, revolution on the right, populist takeover, dictatorship of privilege, capitalist exploitation. It all comes out pretty much the same in the end. Its a sad thing to watch.”
So what are we supposed to do, just sink to our knees and wait for our beloved Constitution to be tossed on the ash heap of history by despicable scoundrels, curs, and pickle smoochers?
By the way, what you call “capitalism” is by its very nature non-exploitative. If exploitation is occurring, then there has been a distortion of the natural order of things.
See “The Fatal Conceit: The Errors of Socialism” by Hayek.
It depends where you are. Americans managed to pull together and, despite their flaws, create a free country. Latin America, on the other hand, seems unable to do so, with rare exceptions.
And forget about Muslims. There are decent and honorable individuals, but their religion and culture won’t allow a free society. In fact, Islam doesn’t believe in free will, unlike Christianity and Judaism.
Wow.
Watch out D.C.! Pretty soon you’ll see us crossing the Potomac. Keep your eye on the horizon.
Gadzooks! Don't these people know... Mexico doesn't allow its citizens to own guns?
I went to Mexico once and they took away... my bullet!
True. But vicious animals frequently travel in packs.
Catch one of them while taking a leak..
Send him on a meet and greet with Jesus..
I’m thinking that might not be anywhere as easy as that gentleman assumes.
Yes, it does sound very much like our executive branch con artists who are as corrupt as any gang of Mexicans.
This is more about citizens rising up against corrupt government than it is vigilantism.
