Newspaper Publishes Interactive Map Showing All Public Schools With No Security Officers (Iowa)

On Wednesday afternoon, the Des Moines Register published a map that shows which public schools in Iowa have no security.

The graphic is also interactive. When you click on a specific dot, you are given very detailed information about the location of the school and if it has a security office on campus.

(Editor Rick) Green told Fox News Channel that the map was only on the paper's website for 20 minutes, after which it was taken down amid an avalanche of angry phone calls. "My team alerted me to it, and we took it down," Green said.

Yeah... Editor, who OK'd your newspaper's publishing that map? I think the citizens should know WHO in your newspaper decided to put their children's lives at risk for an extra couple readers? And did you review the story and uploading the map? Who in your "team" was alerted to the map and realized it was a stupid-ass thing to do and notified you of the disaster you either didn't know about, or had originally approved?
