The only 40-hour employees at Walmart are the managers. 30 hours and under are the norm for the regular employees, and those who go over their assigned hours (and heaven forbid, earn overtime), are “coached” (i.e. warned) to never do it again under threat of termination.
That is not true. My son has worked for them for nearly 4 years now. Everyone he works with works 40+ hours a week, without coaching. In fact, one of his coworkers was getting coaching for not getting 40 hours a week.
