Liberal actress Ashley Judd has a puzzling location in mind for where she’d like to establish a campaign headquarters should she run for the U.S. Senate in Kentucky.
During a keynote speech at the American Counseling Association’s 2013 conference in Cincinnati on Friday, Judd said that she’d use her famous mother’s garage as a campaign headquarters, according to local media reports.
The problem? Her mother, country singer Naomi Judd, lives in Tennessee.
Naomi Judd’s Leipers Fork, Tenn. home was featured on HGTV’s “Celebrities At Home” in June.
A publicist for Judd didn’t return an email from The Daily Caller asking for clarification of her comments.
Her comments draw attention to what could be problematic for her in a Senate race: The Judds are from Kentucky, but live in Tennessee today. If Ashley Judd were to enter the race to take on Republican minority leader Mitch McConnell, she’d have to re-establish her residency in the Bluegrass State.
Local affiliate Fox 19 reported that Judd hinted that she’s gearing up for a run.
“In her speech, Judd made reference to Mitch McConnell’s campaign budget by stating that when she started in counseling she didn’t like to be criticized ‘which is ironic because she’s about the get $40 million worth of it,’” the outlet reported.
“She also talked about how supportive her family is being and that her mom, country legend Naomi Judd can’t wait to turn her garage into a campaign headquarters.”

Somebody I know did some painting at Momma Judd’s house, several years ago.
He had nothing but praise for mommam Judd, as whenever she came around, she would offer the painters water and generally was ‘nice’.
He had no such praise for daughter Judd, as she was too snooty, whenever she dropped by.
I never talked politics with this guy, but I’m pretty sure he votes Democrat.
She should hook up with Jim Carrey.

I don’t like McConnell, but I despise these hollyweird types who think they know everything when all they do for a living is read what someone else wrote for them to say. You know she is a liberal rat and hopefully a tea party candidate will offer the voters some other alternative.
If McConnell gets primaried out, PLEASE nominate somebody who is savvy enough to withstand the inevitable MSM onslaught.
These candidates really need to go to some type of boot camp run by conservative media types.
