Of course, as long as compassion does not turn to acceptance. The goal is to turn these people away from sin. That is true compassion.
“think we can count on the Mormons to not pull out. Just look at the size of their families.”
Ha! BTW, the Scouts around here fly the American Flag every chance they get - and they will even plant one in your yard if you want it. Also, this very weekend, the Scouts collected food for local food bank(s). A bunch of good kids staying out of trouble and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What could possibly be wrong with that?
The fact they don’t sodomize their children and behead their wives is a good start.
“Of course, as long as compassion does not turn to acceptance.” I agree.
:-O
Boy, has the author of “The Pink Swastika” taken a beating for his beliefs!!!!

“If the LSD leaves the BSA, “
They have LSD in the BSA? I’m signing up!!!
State’s rights!
LOL!
“If the LSD leaves the BSA, where they require their patrons do their social service, the BSA will dissolve.”
Without the Catholics, Baptist, and Latter Day Saints, none of which will support Homosexuals in the Boy Scouts, Scouting is finished as an American institution. Sad day for Scouting but the counsel will cave to the dollar.
The Mormons will start their own scouting program and lease or buy the camps for the young men to use.
‘I think we can count on the Mormons to not pull out. Just look at the size of their families.’
I’m taking that to work with me tomorrow, it should get a few laughs at the office.
Why is it that medical professionals, police, first responders of all varieties of people take great pains to avoid contact with body fluids of those they respond to? Is it the fear of potential HIV/AIDS contact? Why are police so cautious of people spitting on them? But the BSA is being asked/demanded to have gay men to be BSA leaders and expose the youngsters to the bodily fluids first responders and others avoid with a passion. It also applies to homosexual boy scouts. What happened to all the medical precautions, when exposing our young to the potential health risks. This is never mentioned, why?
The Christmas my son was six and my daughter was five, we bought him a huge Tony the Tiger drum set. My daughter wanted to play it, her brother said no. So she punched a hole in each one of the drums and announced, “I didn’t really want to play, I just wanted to see what you would say so now nobody can play.”
The consequences for her actions were quite severe. There are no negative consequences brought to bear for gays, atheists, tree huggers, greenies, abortionists, etc. and so they continue on. Not because they necessarily want to be part of any group, activity or function but because they are allowed to destroy the right of individuals to choose what they want to participate in and how they want to live.
I am reminded of the Chick-Fil-A incident. People everywhere rose up and said NO. I haven’t read anything about them for quite a while now. CFA is still in business and the gays moved on. But it is going to take that kind of a movement and effort over and over and over before we can begin to take our freedoms and right to choose back again.
That’s the goal. Nothing in the entire law or history of America stops any homosexual from creating a scouting program. Do it, invite young men to join and the entire lie of the homosexual lifestyle becomes crystal clear.
They’re not interested in liberty, but control. God must bend to their will, not ours to His.
Many Utah scouts against???
The title implies there are some FOR, which is a little hard to believe.
If anybody involved in Scouting hasn’t contacted their local council and BSA national yet, do it! BSA national responded to my message with a link to a detailed online survey. My local council is taking calls and e-mails.
I’m afraid that BSA will decide to leave it to each troop’s chartering organization to decide on openly gay. You know where the many of the mainline Protestant Churches will go.
The LDS Church is not the only church that has scouting in Utah! The Catholic Church and others do too! I know the Catholic Church does, because one of our parish deacons has been, and still is the Scout Master in our Parish! The Girl Scouts have a lady who has a Girl Scout troop with members of our parish, as well!
BFD!
ALL Scouts are!!!
