STEUBENVILLE - Jefferson County Prosecutor Jane Hanlin and her family had to leave town during the juvenile rape trial because of threats made against both her and her family.
Sunday evening, Hanlin confirmed that threats had been made, and she found them to be credible. Hanlin said there were instances of threats before, but the number of threats of a specific nature grew.
"As the trial date grew closer, we received a number of them that seemed to be more credible than others," Hanlin said.
its good you’re an expat....
My point is the distinct propensity of the "hang'em high" faction to cherry pick datum in making their case.
I see no reason to treat drunken adolescent hyperbole as anything but that.
Well apparently "There is no defense of these sociopaths. None."
Nevertheless, I have searched for it.
Can you say the same?
“If you went fishing with your buddies, are you a slut if you get drunk?”
That’s stupid... These were not her fishing buddies.
And yes, if I were a sixteen year old girl and I went out (fishing or otherwise) with a group of boys that I knew of should have know wanted to get into my pants and got drunk with them, I shouldn’t be surprised at the outcome.
These boys were undoubtedly drunk too, and no, it doesn’t excuse their behavior either. Just as her getting drunk doesn’t excuse her’s.
So if you get drunk around a bunch of boys, it’s OK for them to rape you.
You know, you could always just ask them to do it.
“So if you get drunk around a bunch of boys, its OK for them to rape you.”
Your being a dick head. You know that’s not what I said. I hope you didn’t raise any daughters...
What’s the difference then, Mohammed? Is it only because she is a girl? Is it OK to rape a girl and not a boy?
I have a daughter. It’s not OK to rape her even if she is drunk. It’s never OK to rape her. It’s never acceptable or advisable or permissible. I hope your daughter or wife or mother never find out that you believe it is OK for them to be raped if they get drunk in the vicinity of a bunch of men. After all, in your eyes, the sluts should have known better.
Who’s the dick head now, Mohammed?
So your daughter had a problem like this? She got drunk and got taken advantage of? Do I have it right?
You are.
The girl didn't even bring the charges: her parents did.
And oh yeah, you only have a right to face your accuser if its not a rape case, or a rape case's parents, now.
and since when do parents raise their children by allowing television to be the MAJOR influence in their lives???
Animals raise animals......I have NEVER seen an episode of whatever show it is that you are hyping. If you chose to live in the pig wallow I am not surprised that you are covered in mud. Just know that I will never invite you to my house or to be my friend
Getting passed out does not give permission (and specifically forbids due to consent laws in all states including Ohio) to the two convicts for sticking their "wangs" or anything else where they didn't belong.
No way does he have anything. He's probably just angry they didn't get away with it. This is a very troubled (and highly uniintelligent) man. An earlier poster on an earlier thread said it wasn't worthwhile dignifying his idiocy with a discussion.
I've learned he was right.
Whoa. Watch your language.
Actually the charges were brought by the State of Ohio.
Just like the quote you won't post because you know you're lying.....
That’s uncalled for.
Not according to the Plain-Dealer.
Good point.
As long as we don't define rape as willingly participating at one time, then changing one's mind later. When I think of rape, I mean forced rape (or statutory rape), not later regrets.
That is indeed a violent crime, and often has much more to do with power trips than sex.
“So your daughter had a problem like this? She got drunk and got taken advantage of? Do I have it right?”
Would you say that to AppyPappy’s face?
