STEUBENVILLE - Jefferson County Prosecutor Jane Hanlin and her family had to leave town during the juvenile rape trial because of threats made against both her and her family.
Sunday evening, Hanlin confirmed that threats had been made, and she found them to be credible. Hanlin said there were instances of threats before, but the number of threats of a specific nature grew.
"As the trial date grew closer, we received a number of them that seemed to be more credible than others," Hanlin said.
I’ve seen a guy in the town where I lived give up a full college scholarship rather than give up drugs when his habit was discovered; in high school they would send him home to wear off the drugs he was using so they could still keep him as the star quarterback. For the sake of 2 years being state champs they destroyed that young man’s life. Everybody knew, and nobody would step up to help him. Community pride was more important than his life.
It was really, really sad.
In smaller towns this goes on all the time. It’s lovelessness, and it stinks to high heaven.
Now THAT was stupid.....

“Even thought she got drunk, it does not mean she deserved to be raped”.

Because while many posters seem to have endless damning hearsay "the media isn't covering," I see absolutely no one who knows, much less cares, about the specifics of the defense's argument.

I went on my daughter’s computer so I could hear what was being said. Couldn’t stomach much of it, but heard him talking about the girl being deader than a doornail because she didn’t move even when she had a “wang” in the “f-—hole” and a “wang” in her butt. He said usually there’s a reaction to that...
I’m not up on all the terminology, but I doubt that “wang” means fingers.
I also heard them talking about what would happen “if she wakes up”. They were talking about the girl who was “passed out”; that is clear. And they were talking about rape and sodomy. Apparently not with just “digits”.
That clip was recovered by an “anonymous” hacker. I presume that the charge was rape via digits because the prosecution claimed to not be able to get access to this video.
They talked about what happens “if she wakes up”. It is clear that they are talking about the girl who was “passed out”, and not about some other person who was deceased. And they refer to her not moving or responding even when the had a “wang” in her “fu—hole” and a “wang” in her “butt”.
I didn’t have the stomach to watch the whole thing, but the description of the 12-minute video mentions that somebody was disturbed enough by what was said that they left to see if she was OK, so this is about as close to an on-the-scene confession (albeit a laughing boast instead) of the rape and sodomy of an unconscious victim.
I don’t think there’s any way to conclude anything but that the victim was raped and sodomized.

In a just world, the population of Ohio's prison system would skyrocket amd the ton's would nosedive.if it had been my daughter, the population of hell would have increased.
But the good people of Ohio have not heard the last from those animals. One or more of its citizens will pay with their lives for those two animals being confined for the rest of their lives.
