New Pope Francis I is a conservative in the mold of his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II. Thats especially true on the issue of abortion, which he called a death sentence for the unborn in 2007. We arent in agreement with the death penalty, he said during that speech, but in Argentina we have the death penalty. A child conceived by the rape of a mentally ill or retarded woman can be condemned to death.
In his writings, Francis wrote, we should commit ourselves to eucharistic coherence, that is, we should be conscious that people cannot receive holy communion and at the same time act or speak against the commandments, in particular when abortions, euthanasia, and other serious crimes against life and family are facilitated. This responsibility applies particularly to legislators, governors, and health professionals.
Francis is also anti-euthanasia: Today, he wrote, elderly people are discarded when, in reality, they are the seat of wisdom of the society. The right to life means allowing people to live and not killing, allowing them to grow, to eat, to be educated, to be healed, and to be permitted to die with dignity.

brilliant, I;m not Catholic but very happy to have seen this and know he stands for his religious beleifs.
Take note Pelosi, Kennedy family and other pro killing babies, homosexuals, etc
Ha! San Fran Nan comes to mind.
BIG GRIN! Like the guy already!
I’m loving him more and more!!!!
I don’t think the types like the Kennedy family or Nancy Pelosi care anymore. They’re the vangard of secular thought and behavior in the States.
Ping to see how/if he follows through on this.
Sibelius the Ghoul comes to mine.
Ping.
Don’t all the popes say that though? Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems to me that the (liberal) locals do as they please anyway.
I like this Pope already. I’m not a Catholic but I don’t see him ever backing down on abortion and traditional marriage.
Again, bless him. How refreshingly...Christian of him.
Awesome. And Joe Biden is leading the U.S. delegation to the Inauguration Mass. Can’t wait to see how that goes.
PRAISE GOD!
thank Jesus.
Maybe we’re watching the ascendancy of a more, not less, Christian world.
Thank you for the pictures. There is hope in the world.
Saying it is one thing. He needs to give the orders to all the bishops around the world to not give Communion to those who are proponents of abortion and euthanasia.
Celebrate!!
