3 guns were confiscated. No charges were made. This was precipitated by a nurses notes on an admission of the wife to a mental hospital.
It has been reported that most weapons confiscated by this process are destroyed.
Kalifornia.
anyone still claiming that registration doesn’t lead to confiscation?
Cops: We’re here to get your guns.
Woman: Get a search warrant.
Problem solved.
I hope this policy will not lead to unnecessary deaths, but it seems risky. How many gun owners will be reluctant to get mental health help if they know that they could permanently lose their rights to hunt and to defend themselves at the whim of a single socialist nurse?
Bump! Almost instant.
Ping for later
And school/doctor/pharmacy records will be accessed for each ADHD, ADD pupil. They will be put on the “list” and denied the right to purchase a gun. ( if Kalifornia doesn’t ban them alltogether).
Check with the Caliornia state legislature ~ they’re mostly nut cases, and they’ve all got weapons.
Problem solved.
LOL...how naive....they break your door down, shoot your dog, violate you and your family in every way imaginable, then you have to spend more money than you have to get "justice"
We don't need no steenkin warrant serf.....

They were denied entry to a house because they had no search warrant.
Pretty bad precedent even for Kalifornia.
Works every time it's tried too, huh?

It does if they don’t want to get sued.
It can take as little as 15 minutes to obtain a search warrant. You might want to come up with a different plan.

That’s fine. Let the judge justify the criminal charges associated with the warrant.
Even worse, remember in the USSR they simply arrested dissidents and committed them to an asylum. The Kalifornia system could then seize all their assets. Like good little Commies.
You're joking, right?
You think they give a damn about getting sued when they don't pay the price?
When they start prosecuting the violators and holding them criminally responsible, then stripping them of their pensions instead of the tax payers, be sure to alert me.
OK, so this woman went in for a mental health issue. Was she ajudicated mentally defective?
from a link after the article:
CA seized 2,000 weapons last year and 117,000 rounds of ammunition and 11,000 high-capacity magazines, according to state data.
Most of the weapons are destroyed.
