From the headline I thought that he [the author]was demeaning Rand Paul in particular and Conservatives in general. Back when I was in school, our English teacher taught us that the title should reflect what is in the body of the story. From reading the title, the author was demeaning Rand Paul and Conservatives. No, I did not read the article, but when one uses the adjective “damn” to describe someone, what follows usually will not be complimentary.

Why Rand’s rant occurred at the time of the Vichy dinner as Rand Paul explained was because of the machinations of Reid and senate rules which allowed for it to happen.

Interesting political calculus on Reid's part. Who do you think he was trying to hurt by this scheduling: Paul or the Republican old geezers in the Senate dining with Obama?

For some unknown reason, the people of Arizona love him.

I don't think the Arizonan Republicans love him as much as the Democrats who vote in the open Arizonan GOP primary.

Open primaries: the best friend a Vichy Republican has!

I could vote for Rand Paul if he decides to run in 2016. At least in the primary

I wish I'd get a chance to vote for him if he runs. Here in Virginia, the GOP-e will see to it once again that their pick (Jeb) will be the only one on the primary ballot.

As a result of this whole fiasco, the Obama Administration is now admitting that it doesn’t have the right to use a drone to kill American citizens on American soil.

Knowing this administration as we do, we understand
that is NOT what they said.

Holders reply stated they wouldn’t kill American
non-combatants on American soil. The ones they
declare combatants might well be fair game.

That’s really insider stuff. I ain’t no insider.Even if Reid had some inside information I don’t think Reid had any idea that Rand would do this now because if he did he really miscalculated. You had a couple of pretty stanuch conservatives sipping at the Vichy fountain.

One guy that’s quiet on this is my senator Ron Johnson and his support for the planes and tanks to Egypt has had conservatives in Wisconsin very unhappy. Johnson has been pretty good about responding to conservative talk show hosts it will be interesting to see his take on this in the following weeks.

I suspect Rand played it very close to the vest on this one and I suspect he didn’t expect what happened to happen.

I was going to sit the election out. But never the less, the fact is that I did vote for McCain. And he has caused me to regret it ever since.

I was going to write in Palin, but like you I caved and voted the ticket because it had Palin on it.

That is what I thought you only read the headline. You can’t do that. You have to read more then that, besides John Hawkins writes sometimes satire like
