It expands the definition of domestic violence to include causing emotional distress or using unpleasant speech.I'm toast. You should have heard me when one of the catz got caught eating my jalapeno seedlings for this year's garden. I caused "emotional distress" and used "unpleasant speech". Most of it learned from a TI in basic training back in the old days when the AF wasn't quite such a chair force.

WHY OBAMA WINS: DEMOCRATS PURGE MODERATES, REPUBLICANS PURGE CONSERVATIVES
Voters already "purged" most of the liberal and moderate Republicans. They didn't purge moderate Democrats, so there are more than a few in Congress for the party to purge.
If one or two conservative Republicans in Congress lose out to other Republicans who have more seniority or who play nice with the leadership it doesn't exactly qualify as a purge.
Republicans are preparing for a major debate on immigration reform by purging the partys conservatives, casting opponents of bipartisan legislative efforts as bigots who will doom the party to ongoing electoral failure.
If that's true it may just be for appearances' sake, a strategic division of labor as some Republicans move closer to Obama and others further away. Some need to appear accomodationist and others need to appear inflexible. If they're smart they'll find a way to defeat Obama's plan that lets both groups appeal to their constituencies.

The Civil War won’t be just about 1 party fighting. The country is divided to the point where party affiliation won’t matter.
It will be the makers against the takers.

Bring it on, Eric. You’ll end up in the dumpster with crybaby Boehner, Linda Graham, and the Shamnesty Sheik, John McLame.
Oh, yeah, and those two tapeworms, Cochran and Johanns.

The Senate bill expands coverage to men, homosexuals, transgendered individuals and prisoners. It expands the definition of domestic violence to include causing emotional distress or using unpleasant speech."
Good grief. This is insanity. Eric Cantor does not have a clue what he's doing.

creating law that applies only to a certain class of person, such as this one and the HATE CRIMES law against LBGT and all ethnic groups except for caucasian goes against the very grain of equality of justice our own liberty is dependent upon to even exist as a cohesive society under the law. We are now witnessing what unequal justice is doing to this country and yet Cantor and the other RINO jackasses remain on the same path of devision as the democraps. These people aren’t stupid but they are traitors and they're weakening our country from within. The KARMA of OUR COMPLACENCY is haunting.

Now LISTEN! I want:
1. Amnesty for Illegals
2. Allow the military to be destroyed because the Sequestration cuts will stand
3. And the "Violence Against Women Act" will allow women to get men arrested with no charges filed
Now why are you people opposing me!

What do we have against the Violence Against Women Act? Well, first of all, violence against women is already illegal, as is violence against anyone.
What this act does is allocate a bunch more taxpayer money to fund a bureaucracy that distributes even more tax dollars to various groups, including gay rights and illegal immigrant rights groups.
Given its name, it's one hell of a tool in the public opinion war against conservatives. "By voting this down, Republicans have shown that they are OK with violence against women!!!"
The left could name a bill the "Save the Puppies and Kitties Act" and load it up with pork and slip in all sorts of unconstitutional provisions. Then sit back and chuckle when, as the conservatives oppose it, the voters that are as stupid as the left hopes we all are wonder what the conservatives have against puppies and kitties.

We need to apply or a grant (for new equipment, more staff) ~ we’d do that as a way to develop programs to protect TRADITIONALISTS against violence by ANTI TRADITIONALISTS.

Obviously tied into the gun control push. There will be thousands of domestic violence charges to come. When the stepson announces he's moving back in and he's also quiting his job the same day, maybe we can have him charged with “unpleasant speech” and giving us “emotional distress.”

What do we have against the Violence Against Women Act? Oh, a few things. Raised your voice during an argument? Domestic violence. Didn't tell the wife about that bonus? Financial domestic violence. Slammed a door a little out of frustration? Domestic violence. Didn't do a dang thing but she wants the upper hand in divorce court? Domestic violence
Then kiss you 2A rights goodby.

RE :”
House majority leader Eric Cantor is increasingly frustrated with a group of House Republicans who are working against the leadership, and hes not afraid of voicing his dismay.
In a closed-door conference meeting on Wednesday, Cantor told one GOP member that if they blocked the Senate-passed Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) from coming to the floor, theyd cause civil war in the ranks.
Cantors comment irked some Republican aides, who told National Review Online that such strong language is inappropriate. In recent days, some conservatives have been upset about the Senates version of VAWA, saying that parts of the bill are unconstitutional.
Nevertheless, Cantors warning may have had an effect. When the bill came to the floor on Wednesday, only nine Republicans voted against the rule to take up the bill. “ This reminds me of 2006 when the GOP congress re-authorized the voting rights act 100% AS IS by a huge GOP majority with GWB signing it, now the Southern States cant pass new voter ID laws because of it. And minorities voted against them in 2006 and 2008 and 2012 anyway. It bought them nothing good,
I always said Cantor is a lib who hides it with woof-woof.

The GOP is dead but doesn’t know it yet. The Constitutional Republic built by the founders is a long-lost dream that will never be regained. The Ruling Class is all-powerful and cannot be stopped because the dumb-masses are too comfortable and ignorant to care what happens to America.
I’m not sure if I have the stomach to stay in this country much longer. This is like watching a loved one slowly die from cancer.
