Six-year-old Coy Mathis explains her predicament in the simplest of terms:
I want to go to school. We play games at recess, the first grader said Tuesday.
But the transgender girl is being home schooled this semester because she has been denied access to the girls bathroom at Eagleside Elementary School in Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8, her parents say.
New York-based Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund attorneys said they filed a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Division on behalf of her parents Kathryn and Jeremy Mathis, saying Coy has been discriminated against.
Forcing Coy to use a different bathroom than the girls, is targeting her for stigma, bullying and harassment, said Michael Silverman, TLDE attorney and executive director. He said that Colorado law prevents schools from discriminating against transgender students.

THE Church. And no, I’m not talking about Catholicism.
Jeff Winston: What are your, moral dilemmas? Let’s ante up. You call first bid.
Sorry folks, your son is a boy. Whoever is filling his mind with this BS is a child abuser and HE is probably being molested by a homosexual.
You cannot cure mental illness by mutilating a healthy body
>>>Its bad enough that this childs parents decided to ruin his life, but that a medical professional would agree to be a part of it is just stupefying to me.<<<
This guy was a pediatrician.
Abdel Aziz Ali Abdulmajid al-Rantissi23 October 1947 17 April 2004) was the co-founder of the Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas with Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.
Rantissi was Hamas’s political leader and spokesman in the Gaza Strip following the Israeli killing of Hamas spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmad Yassin in March 2004.[1] Like most Hamas members, Rantissi opposed any compromise with Israel and called for the creation of a state of Palestine (including the whole of the State of Israel) through military exertion against the Jewish state.
And this guy is also a doctor/surgeon:
Mahmoud al-Zahar (born 1945) is a co-founder of Hamas and a member of the Hamas leadership in the Gaza Strip.
And this guy is another “medical professional”:
Dr. Thabet Thabet, a pediatrician and leader of Yasir Arafat’s Fatah. ... Thabet was also responsible for numerous other shooting attacks by Fatah activists in the area, and was involved in planning bombing attacks.
He probably dressed in the girl's clothes to get ATTENTION!! These Parents are scary.
The fact that there is a TRANSGENDER LEGAL DEFENSE group makesme sick to my stomach.
A six year old is not mature enough to make such a decision whether it is Transgendered. This is nonsense
Those parents are absolute Froot Loops.
The real problem is that parents, and that cannot be fixed. There have always been bad parents. They have always raised disturbed children, who grow up to be disturbed adults. Trying to fix that will, like most government intrusions, make the problem even worse. I feel sorry for the poor little boy, but it’s too late to intervene.
As for the political and legal problem, that’s easy to fix. Post new restroom signs at the school, with the first word in large letters and the rest as fine print:
BOYS - and “girls” who have dangly parts
GIRLS - and “boys” who do not have dangly parts
Problem solved. There are signs on the restrooms that are clear to the kids with normal parents, that are understandable to this poor abused boy, and that should satisfy the predatory parents and lawyers who are willing to ruin a child’s life to make a political point or to make a few dollars.
I'm beginning to wonder... Are these people being paid to do this? Are they willing to destroy their children's life for some reward from a Soros-like endowment just to create societal turmoil and destroy the country?
The view of transgender activists is that it is child abuse if young children aren’t taught not only that they can grow up to love whatever sex they’d like, but also that they can choose to grow up as whatever sex they’d like.
Seriously.
Your daughter reminds me of myself when I was little :0)
Unfortunately I think this child’s parents are fishing for a lawsuit.
Would have got his butt kicked on a daily basis at my school.
ROFL
13 to 18 monthsSo I am wondering just how, at age 18 months, Coy was able to actually communicate this complex issue with parents. Or were parents just hearing what they wanted to hear, or imagined they heard.
Now your child is using one or more words, and she knows what they mean. She'll even practice inflection, raising her tone when asking a question by saying "Up-py?" when she wants to be carried, for example. She's realizing the importance of language as she taps into the power of communicating her needs.
19 to 24 months
Though she probably says fewer than 50 words....
When I was 6, I wanted to be a horse. Not a rider (I was already riding at that age) but a horse. I would go to bed praying that I would wake up as a horse, lazing around my parent's backyard. Thank God my rampant imagination (which really was something of a fixation) was not in any way encouraged by my family!
lol!
Looks like they’ve pulled them - must have been spectacular.
