This is anecdotal...heard it from a guy at a benchrest shoot weekend before last.

At a gunshow in Circleville OH Jan 26-27 he reported that Homeland Security came in Friday evening before the show started and bought all of the ammo from all vendors. Supposedly they spent $80k to buy every round in the place.

Does anyone know how to confirm this?

I find it hard to believe that DHS could have scooped up all the ammo at a gun show last month without the gun webforums (and FR, too) melting down from all the traffic.
