The disability program is so dishonest and corrupt that honest disabled people are told they can’t qualify without a lawyer and the able bodied scum are told we will give you free money. The Democrats know this program is corrupt. That is how they want it.

The posting of this article is very timely. FYI, just this past week I had to go to my local Social Security office to drop off two documents relative to my wife and my S.S.
I walked in the door at 9AM sharp. Sixty or seventy seats were fully occupied and there was a line of 15-20 more people waiting to sign in.

Here’s the kicker and the outrage. CLEARLY 60-70 PERCENT OF THE PEOPLE IN THAT ROOM WERE 50 YEARS OLD OR LESS. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS ON MANY LEVELS.

You need to allege back pain and depression. The law requires consideration of subjective complaints. So, if someone alleges disabling pain and depression, they have a better chance, even if all of the objective documentation isn’t there. This is especially true when a denial is appealed to the hearing level and goes before an Administrative Law Judge.

I have a question. I have been diagnosed with a chronic disease that is hard to handle. What are my odds of getting disability benefits.

I had a more thorough exam to play Pop Warner football than the ones I received for Social Security.

Are you on of Holder's People?

If not, you are REQUIRED to work, to provide for them.

SSI is not SSDI, if you dont’ even know the difference what credibility could you possibly have?

I don’t know that your statement is correct. There are many disabled people, whose disabilities are not readily apparent. I walk with a cane, but my real disability is that my brain was oxygen deprived when my heart stopped. Now I have difficulty expressing coherent thoughts, trying to learn things and memory loss. I also can’t see well enough to do close work and my hearing is shot.. I used to be a legal secretary. I can’t do the job anymore and trying to learn anything else is just about impossible.

Early on, I had hopes of going back to work, but that’s impossible. I came from an environment where you received an education, found a job and worked for what you need. When I had to take disability, it was hard for me. I didn’t want to be a charity case. But it was pointed out to me that after having worked for 35 years, it wasn’t charity. I paid into the program and now that I needed the financial support, hell yeah, I’m entitled to it.

I understand the frustration with people receiving benefits who never paid in and who just want a check without working. Sadly though, thanks to the slackers and con artists, the truly disabled often receive no benefits. And all disabled people are treated like parasites.

YES IT IS... they are the same.. sister entitlements..
Dual parasitic political organisms.. Vampires from the beginning.. bleeding the economy...

BOTH draw on Social Security.. funded from one source..
They are the same mechanism.. one a Tapeworm the other intestinal worms.. SAME DISEASE.. different worm..

Are you a RINO.. you smell like a RINO?..

SSI? If you have more than $2000 cash in the bank, you don’t qualify.

The most you get under federal law is $800 a month which doesn’t go very far.

Step 1. Have heart attack or bout of Pulmonary Edema that puts you in the hospital.

Step 2. Do not return to work, I repeat, do not return to work.

Step 3. File for State Disability. One year is almost a gimmie, particularly in blue states.

Step 4. While on State Disability, get a lawyer and file for SSDI, not SSI but SSDI. They are different. The lawyer fee is set by SS, so dont’ sweat it, just get one of those guys that specialize in SS.

Step 5. Save money. SS will take months to complete but they’ll back pay you to the date of filing.

Step 6. Pay the state back the disability insurance they’ve paid that overlaps with SSDI when approved. The lawyer’s fee will be deducted from your Lump Sum back payment from SS.

You’ll die before your cardiologist and doctor recommend SSD. Push the issue with the lawyers. All you need are medically certified conditions, you dont’ need *your* doctors, cardiologist approval, just the list of conditions.

For CHF people, know your Ejection fraction. SSDI is like a gimmie when you’re below 28%.

SSI is a general Social Security support program paid for out of general taxes.

You have a history of work and get disabled, you can get SSDI which has tougher qualifications. Its considered one of the most difficult federal programs to qualify for and if you have a genuine work-related disability, you’re better off hiring a lawyer to win your case with the SSA.

Yup. Its very degrading and most people will just go the SSI route which is far easier.

The burden is on you to prove you’re disabled and lawyers will take a major chunk out of your SSDI payment. Its not considered entitlement so that’s why its so strict.

TRUE.. some are truly disabled.. like the blind..
But then you have your Helen Keller’s.. Ray Charles’s..
Some deserve a helping hand.. but not total entitlement..

ENTITLEMENT is itself an oxymoron..
Laziness is a symptom of entitlement..
Why NOT?.. If you can be a grasshopper why be an ant?..
there is shame with being a grasshopper..

This subject is the cross america is bearing..
and is the very subject america absolutely refuses to face..
and by the way IS THE STRENGTH of communism’s allure..

You know.......... addiction to laziness.. apathy, deadness, drowsiness, dullness, idleness, immobility, immobilization, inactivity, indolence, languor, lassitude, lethargy, listlessness, oscitancy, paralysis, passivity, sloth, sluggishness, stillness, stupor, torpidity, torpor, unresponsiveness....

Like that..

SSI Suppplemental Security Income
SSDI Social security Disability Income

The majority of people getting SSI are people whom believe because they are diagnosed with a mental illness they can no longer work.

disability is granted for people whom have a physical medical issue that will endure for more than year or result in death. The problem with disability is that the lawyer is required by the Social security administration for the hearing process. generally in the hearing the attorney with the medical documentation and the rehabilitation specialists whom are present will make a determination at that time.

disability is different than supplemental security income. many whom get supplemental have never paid into the system at all.

in the county I reside in supplemental is generally granted to those whom have a mental illness and are awaiting a decision. the mental health service at the county level is the one that pushes for ssi. due to the nature that their agency is dependent upon the state mental health system to ensure payment. many of the mental health patients are pushed into supported employment and eventually are deemed ineligible because the mental illness is not severe enough. in turn the person is bumped out of the system, the person moves out of the county and goes to another county and strives to manipulate the system all over again. remember these type of people are lazy, malingerers and basically morons.
